This is how an Olympic facility should be built and used after the event ends. The facility is absolutely first class and there are so many things to do here. There are 2 hockey rinks with good seating for spectators - these are also used for public skating and other skating events (figure skating, etc.). There are multiple courts (basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc.), table tennis, indoor batting cage, running/walking track, climbing wall, and so much more. The facility is kept spotless, the change rooms are bright and spacious and all of the fitness facilities are great, along with the staff. There is a very large underground parking facility (pay - but very inexpensive) that allows you to walk in to the facility from the parkade without going outside on inclement days. The restaurant is good with lots of healthy choices and there are now multiple food options across the street in a new complex located there - great Chinese food restaurant and tons of take-out options at the T&T Supermarket across the street.I use the facility with my family regularly and we enjoy it immensely. It's set right on the Fraser River with a view over to the airport - very pleasant.

We were here for an event and the place is amazing. Parkade is easy and not expensive. The amount of activities available are fantastic! Rock climbing, a gym, etc. the grounds are along the river and are beautiful

I am a sporadic member of the Oval. Facilities are impeccable, clean, and endless - ice rinks, table tennis, basketball, track, climbing wall, fitness machines galore - virtually anything you could want for fitness. However, I use only the track and sporadically the fitness machines so, for me, the membership fees are much too high (plus parking). But the facilities from parking, to entrance, changing rooms and the actual Oval are all first class - and staff are generally very helpful and friendly. In summary, everything is first rate, but too expensive for a one-product user like me.

And we did not even know it existed - during the Olympics we only saw skiing competitions. Skating, we thought, was all taking place at the two Vancouver arenas. Before spending Christmas break in Vancouver, we checked on Groupon for any possible attractions. And - there it was - skating for a very reasonable price at the Richmond Olympic Oval. We looked it up and realized that just the building itself was worth a trip - it looked so modern and so northwestern at the same time. It is a stunning facility, gorgeously designed and built. And the possibilities for activities seem endless!! As I was walking around (while the boys were skating), taking pictures and looking at all the amenities it offers and the architectural details, one of the young workers approached me and explained all the updating and construction that was going on, and how even more nicer the place looks when everything is done. We have to go back to see it and hopefully get to use it again.Just cannot stop the sad feeling that we have nothing nearly as great in our area.

This is a very nice place. The people who work there are very polite and kind. Well There is one guy who is sooooo mean and rude to me. I don't know his name tho :( . I play Hockey there sometimes and on the other half there is Basket-ball courts, Ping-Pong courts, Volley-Ball courts, a gym, actually there is more than one gym, Badminton courts and finally my favorite rock climbing. Now the rock climbing is not some Really bad thing for little kids. It is a HUGE thing for pros and stuff. Now the bad thing is the cafe. i mean the food is OK but the service in my point of view that time I went was TERRIBLE. First of all I asked for an apple turn over and they had it. so the woman gave it to me and I took a byte and it was ONIONS. SO I WAS SOOO MAD and i got my money back and finally got a REAL apple turn over. The apple turnover was good tho but I think that they don't have them anymore :( And This place is very clean.

Lovely building built for the Winter Olympics here in Vancouver. It is on the River and commands a wonderful view while driving into Richmond from the Vancouver Airport. There is a river walk in front of the Oval, which stretches for several miles and offers residents a wonderful opportunity to exercise. The oval has an exercise facility and is available for several sports, whenever needed. A great legacy from Olympic times.

Is super cool !!! There are lots of things: there are two fields of ice hockey, many basketball courts, badminton, volleyball, football and the most beautiful thing and climbing !!! I recommend it to all !!!

I have been here several times, ice hockey, pleasure skating, gymnastics party with a private part room, there's a huge exercise gym which encircles the play floor.

This Olympic Speedskating Venue is worth a visit just to see the architecture and especially the wood roof made from "pine Beetle" infected beams......the trees were harvested prior to the beetles killing the tree and have a blueish tinge. Tours are available for free, and the gym is available for a daily fee. Great gym with every piece of equipment imaginable and a wonderful view of the mighty Fraser and the North Shore mountains.Robert TurnbullRichmond BC
