My wife and I often go for lunch as this place is close to my work. High quality food, great atmosphere at a surprisingly low price. Why go to a diner when you can have a nice lunch by the golf course for the same price!

The Grill Restaurant appears to be very popular amongst golfers and diners alike. While the golf course is a bit out of the way on #6 Road most find the drive more than worth while. Where else can you enjoy a 10 ounce prime rib overlooking a fairway for just $23?

Great location, lots of parking, seriously good food n drink n a very nice (short) 18 hole course. Very popular with the 9-n-Dine crowds.

We celebrate a lot of our families birthdays here because the food and service is so good. Try the seafood linguini if you like seafood; my favorite.Lots of free parking and the atmosphere is very pleasent especially looking over the gardens and the golf green.

We have had our annual corporate golf tournament here for the past two years and we just love this place. The price to play is very reasonable as well as the dinner buffet served afterwards (I'm on the tournament committee). We usually have just over 100 employees attend and everyone enjoys themselves quite a bit. The staff are very attentive and accomodating to anything we need before and during the event. There is a well stocked bar and restaurant. The outdoor banquet room is the perfect size for our party. The food is delicious! Only two negatives: they don't serve shots to tournament guests and the beer girl sucks because she stays put in one spot and doesn't drive around the green like shes supposed to but we all manage by bringing our own supply;). We've already booked for next year!

The value for the food is quite good. Also, the atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is on their golf course, so the setting is lovely.

You wont be disappointed with this hidden gem. easy little golf course not to much challenge to it but the club house and bar are really nice. The outside setting around the club house are a nice setting, Food is good and very reasonable.

This is a review of the restaurant that is part of the golf course complex on Number 6 Road in east Richmond. This was a spur of the moment dinner with friends on this Sunday night. Our friends had gone to this same restaurant about 3 weeks ago and were surprised about the Sunday night prime rib special and were really happy with the dinner, so we decided to go there again. We were there around 6:15 PM and were seated after five minutes even though the restaurant was less than a quarter full; maybe 5 or 6 tables occupied with one big birthday party of about 16 people. We were seated in a horse shoe shaped booth.Everyone in our party of six ordered the prime rib special. There was a choice of the 8 ounce ($14.95) or the 10 ounce portion at $17.95 with vegetables and a choice of mashed or roasted potatoes. The vegetables included roasted nugget potatoes, ½ ear of corn on the cob, young asparagus spears, a piece of roasted squash and broccoli.Everyone in the party ordered the 8 ounce servings – 5 medium rare and the other at rare. Two couples each ordered the Country Meadows salad ($10) with a balsamic vinaigrette to share. The salad was large enough for 2 persons to share and was tasty. It consisted of a spring mix with goat cheese, cranberries, blueberries, diced tomatoes and nuts.We also ordered a bottle of Oyster Bay merlot to share ($34.00).It was a good meal – portion size and taste wise. The main course came in a timely manner after our salad. The server was friendly.Just an observation but I doubt if you asked for a recommendation on a wine pairing with dinner that they could give you one. Looks like the servers are not even of legal drinking age of 19. The only minor problem were the pesky fruit flies. In my opinion, for $40 before taxes and drinks, for 2 prime rib dinners and a salad, it was a good deal.I would rate the meal experience at 3.5 out 5 – very good.Notes and Tips:• There was a pianist playing when we were there.• The décor of the restaurant needs updating.• Country Meadows is one of the largest if not the largest farm operation in Richmond. The golf course and restaurant is part of the business and was giving away organic yellow skinned melons to the customers. Nice touch!• In the past the restaurant had tribute acts playing on the very small stage. The tribute bands in the past included ABBA. During the first weekend in October, 2014 there will be a Rolling Stones tribute band. The cost of a prime rib and salmon buffet is $35.00(?) per person. I don't know if admission is included in the price of the buffet.• We also went for a prime rib dinner at Fresh Restaurant and Lounge at the Radisson Hotel in Richmond in mid-August. There was a 6 ounce portion for $19.95 with an all you can eat salad bar. See my review.

We have been playing on this course for quite a few years now. The course is fun to play - a bit slow sometimes but that is to be expected. Sometimes we can't get on - lots of tournaments. Good for them - bad for us. The staff in the pro shop and the Marshall's are always nice, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is another story. The service is always slow and frustrating. The food is always mediocre. I have never had a happy experience in the restaurant. On one occasion we waited for an hour for our non existent food. When we got up to leave the manager came then and told us our meal was coming up now. Too late - I don't care at the kitchen is busy. I have eyes and can look around and see tat rather kitchen can't be that busy tat we have to wait an hour for a burger and a salad. How do you then explain the slow bar service? Ey seem to hire servers with little or no experience and then do not train them. We give try - my husband, family and friends ignoring my objections. Each time I am proven correct. The setting is lovely so if you jus want to sit with no service this is a perfect spot. Even if tou want to self-serve from the bar you will wait.P.S. - the girl at the kiosk at te 9th hole actually said she didn't have ice. The reason - if she got it it would melt. Really!!!!

My review is for the restaurant not the golf course. Went there for lunch. Went with a friend for lunch in September. We both had sandwiches which were good both came with tasty fries. Service was good and the price was reasonable. The location is pleasant, right on the golf course. Just good lunch fair, nothing fancy perfect for a quick lunch.

If you don't want to spend all day playing golf but need a fix, this is the place for you. With most par 3 holes from 140 to 190 yards it's perfect to sharpen up your iron game and the par fours let you give it a full rip.I play early with my pals and sheepishly admit that I'm usually back home and taking a nap within 3 hours, so I don't have to write off the entire day just to get a round in.The price is reasonable and the challenge and variety of the holes is enough to keep you coming back for more. The course itself is superbly maintained, with some spectacular mountain views, and it's playable all year roundYou get a free cup of coffee in the morning and the clubhouse restaurant has great food along with a super pub-like atmosphere. Harry the owner is around there all the time and is as nice a guy as you could wish to meet, It follows that the staff are just as amiable, making every visit a pleasure. Now if only I could play Rory Mcilroy-type golf, the world would be perfect.EnjoyBillC

Ok. So our golf is not so good. In fact we did not play. But we did eat at the restaurant. Perfect service and really good food at a good price. Staff also very friendly and we sat outside to eat on a beautiful evening. More professional than perhaps is obvious from the outside. Obviously we visited the restaurant and not the 'attraction'.

We found this restaurant great to be at again. Great food and music while we enjoy the dinner. Have attended this venue many times. Found the staff and service the same each time we have attended.
