Played here on March 9 and it was beautiful. This course if very similar to Chateau Whistler, which is my favorite course in Canada. It is a mountain course, up and down, but laid out for lots of risk-reward shots. Make sure you know where you want to hit each shot, the wrong side of some fairways creates some tough into the green shots. Well maintained and fair pace of play.

It's mountain golf on the front nine, a little gentler on the back, but there are steep hills that require some stamina. Some of the holes are downright difficult. Play it once for the experience - a nice setting. But unless you live close, many don't return. Not a great walking course.

Great layout, great condition, but slow play killed all the enjoyment. There was no evidence that anyone cared. We had to quit after 4-1/2 hrs and only 14 holes.Won't be back

There are a number of 'mountain' courses in the southwestern BC - Furry Creek, Chateau Whistler, Westwood Plateau, The Falls - and Northlands is the best of them. They've cleared out a lot of the areas between hole, so it is easier for the novice golfer, and the different tees suit the abilities of a wide range of players. A really good golf course can have hole after hole where you say, "Oh, that was a good hole" or have a number of excellent holes as Northlands does. There are probably 7 or 8 really good/great golf holes at Northlands, and very few courses could say that. Well worth the green fee, and the people, the clubhouse and après golf in the bar/restaurant are also very good.

If you played Northlands and nobody told you any different, you would assume that you were playing one of the high end courses at Whistler or in Banff. A great test of golf over mountainous terrain with beautiful views and frequent, close up visits with the local wildlife. A golf experience not to be missed.

Worth a brunch stop of lunch stop for anyone visiting the area even if you don't golf. Lovely setting high above the sloped mountainside golf course.

Lunch on a sunny deck overlooking the golf course was a delight for a December day. Food is pub style and quite alright.
