Stopped at the visitor centre just off Highway 16 which has arguably the best view of the mountain . There is a lot of information on the recreational activities in Mount Robson Provincial Park, as well as the history and wildlife of the area. We did wait to see if the cloud would clear from the top of the mountain, but it remained stubbornly hugging the summit.

Due to time-constraint, we have a quick stop-over at Mount Robson Visitor Centre to explore the surrounding. As far as we wish to take on the 2-days hiking trail to Berg Lake and has a closer touch with Mount Robson, the short stop-over has well-satisfied our wish to view the mountain from a distance. With it unique geological structure, it is one of the most beautiful mountain in Canadian Rockies.

We had beautiful weather and the mountain was out in all it's glory. The road there is very good with adequate places to pull off and take photos.

I'm sure most of the research on the trail would have been done early on, before getting to the Visitor Centre. You could get some tips and information from the frontdesk or rangers when you are checking in for the hike. The lady who signed us in was helpful in telling us about the trail and informing us about splitting our hike into two days, which was useful as we thought we could get to Berg Lake within half a day, before nightfall. We were informed of recent bear sightings around the area as well and to be mindful of leaving food near our tents. Bear bins are available at all campgrounds.

I stopped there with friends because we were looking an information about any good place to eat in the area. Lady working at the visitor centre was very polite and helpful. We got few maps and very good tips. At the back of the visitor centre there is a huge terrace with the view for Mt. Robson Peak. Great place to take a photo. Mountain looks amazing. Free parking and toilets.

Very good information Center, lots of information on sights to see, places to stay in all of BC. Beautiful location, with a wonderful view of Mt. Dobson. Large parking lot, picnic tables, rest area to relax before resuming your drive. Staff are friendly and helpful.

It's a beautiful view on Mount Robson there. Nice meadow in front of the center. We were lucky with the weather and a almost perfect view on the summit.

Firstly let me state that yes this is a beautiful place and I'm not criticizing the Centre as a whole. We were NOT there to site see, but as a necessity. Which is why I thought it only fair to give a neutral average rating. Travelling from Jasper and trying to save some time, we thought that we could make a pit stop at the Centre for a quick breakfast instead of having one in Jasper. Boy what a mistake. The parking lot at the Centre had a few vehicles but also had about 3 or 4 tour buses. The lineup to the restaurant was out the door and you couldn't get near it. Thankful for the gift shop. Even though chocolate bars, chips and what have you don't make for a nutritious breakfast, it was better than nothing and the lady there was so pleasant and friendly. Yes people pay good money for these tour groups and bring in money for countless attractions and they have every right to be there. But when they over run and mob places it makes life miserable for the rest of us. Could they not use some discretion and have half a bus load of people at a time get their coffee, instead of off loading all their clients at one time. This would allow a chance for other folks to have a turn. Frankly I don't even know if food was available there as all I saw were hoards of people with take-out coffee cups.

The visitor info center at Mt Robson park is world class! I have stopped in here many times over the years, including to check in for Berg Lake backpacking trips and have always had exceptional service. There is a restaurant, washrooms, gift shops, info center, gas station and more. On clear days or days with high cloud you can get an excellent view of the spectacular Mt RobsonThe info center is also the starting point (and check in) for the Berg Lake trail system and the shorter Kinney Lake day trip trail. If you have the time to hike (more like 'walk' rather than hike) out to Kinney Lake, it is well worth it. The distance to the lake is approximately 5k with a further 2k to a more open pick-nick shelter and camp ground (hike in campground only). The time it takes will vary based on your walking speed of course but at a medium pace allow about 2 in and 1.5 to 2 hours out. There are also 2 provincial campgrounds in the immediate area to camp at. This is truly a world class park and one of the most beautiful places on earth.

My wife is new to BC from Kansas City Missouri. We stopped off at the viewpoint and visitor centre during a trip back home to the Okanagan from Edmonton and Jasper. We were fortunate to have clear skies offering a breathtaking view of the entire mountain, and neighbouring mountains. We stayed for a few hours, thoroughly enjoying the visitors centre and had a nice reasonably priced lunch at the cafe. We were pleased with the scope of services available and the friendly knowledgeable staff. We highly recommend this stop to anyone traveling through the area.

Worth stopping in if you are passing as they stock lots of useful leaflets and brochures about BC. There is a great little gift shop, gas station and cafe on the same site. The staff in the visitors centre are really nice and so keen to help. We were heading some 200kms away to a resort and they looked up the directions for us as our GPS couldn't locate it. Not only did they look it up they printed it off.The day we were there it was rainy and mount Robson was not visible, however we had seen it the day before from the Jasper sky tram.

On this particular trip the summit was clouded over and we only saw 2/3 of the mountain . On 4 visits over the years I have only seen the entire peak once . It is magnificent though and consider yourself lucky if you pass by when it is clear . The staff were great and gave us a few tips about the area . They even helped me decide where to stop for the night and made reservations to guarantee we had a room waiting for us . There isn't much in the way of accommodations heading west and it was a relief to know we wouldn't be stuck with nowhere to stay . They also gave us tips on dinner choices in the small town we would be staying in .

Well organized and full of interesting photos, brochures, artifacts and a giftshop to boot. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer and looked around but we were in a hurry.

Came to backpack up the mountain and the staff was super helpful. They were very well informed and where current in the conditions of certain areas of the trail. Always check in with them before hitting the trail.
