Great for all ages. Grassy areas for large groups, benches, tables. Free parking on west side of park. Tennis courts, swimming area, water park and play group. Band stand which hosts Music in the Park all summer. Close to ice cream store, Interior Savings Centre, and Downtown Kamloops shopping. Safe and well kept grounds.

This is a nice park along the Thompson river. It is a very busy park in the summer time and requires one to pay park unless you park somewhere on Lorne and walk back.As far as parks go in the Kamloops area, it is very picturesque with the mountains in the back ground. The park has a large playground and a water park.During the summer, it seems that there is free music every night at the grandstand. As others have mentioned, there is also a concession that serves the park, but you are also close enough to walk to several fast food places, as well as an icecream shop just across the yellow bridge.

I love Riverside Park, it has a good beach and a good sized water park. There is always something going on at the park. We enjoy ourselves every time we are down there.

It is in a nice location and is for the most part well kept. It has a concession that is ran during the summer months and Canada Day celebrations. The washrooms could be better kept and they are rather smelly. You now have to pay for parking, but quality or upkeep of parking has not improved. Why are you paying for parking if service standards are not being increased, I will never know. It is a good park, could be better.

After a full day on the Rocky Mountaineer train we arrived at Kamloops.Sort of a frontier town. There was a concert in the park. Not to our taste but enjoyed the locals having a fun evening. Lovely Park for an evening stroll.

This is a beautiful park with lots of space and old shade trees in the heart of Kamloops. In the summer it has a water park for kids and swimming in the warm South Thompson Rive

If you could spend a whole day among trees, gardens, water, people or just peace & quiet, Riverside Park has it all. It is a beautiful area, clean & friendly so visit often, and do not miss the opportunity in the summer to listen to some of the best music ever heard anywhere. It's the spot for Music In The Park held July through August every night during the summer...you never know what you're going to get but its always great, they come from all over the world to perform their hearts out.

Lots of parking and lots to do. Flat easy walking along the river, nice playground for the kids. In the summer there is a water park, and music in the evenings. All for free.

The trail joins the parks and areas around the city. Didn't like that the public washrooms were closed in some areas and only open at the far end of the park.

A lovely riverside walking path. Plenty of seats to relax and watch the birdlife. Interesting art works and sculptures along the way as well.

It's a huge park, with lots of opportunities for the kids to run around and play. We go there every time we stay in Kamloops or even drive through.

Thanks to Trip Advisor for recommending this place I had the privilege of exploring this park when I was visiting for the week. What a beautiful park! I wasn't there during the summer in the park festivals, but I heard much news about it and it was all positive. Inside the park there is a beautiful rose garden and a section of roses dedicated to Princess Diana. Right away at first impression the park is very well kept. It was very apparent that they take good care of this place. There is a nice path along the water that you can explore or enjoy a nice family picnic.I am sure this place will be my sanctuary when I move out there this November.

Park was very busy with families during the day in the sunshine. We went back with a picnic in the evening to watch a free concert. Facilities were clean and it all felt very safe.
