A gem in British Columbia. Next to a smaller but nice town. Great views and plenty of things to do. Worth the stop to check out.

Very beautiful area. Nice easy walk to the tunnels. A great outing that doesn't have to take too long. Went to the tunnels mid July and maintenance people had just closed off access to first bridge due to structure concerns, so you can only go through the first two tunnels. Too bad. Still isn't open apparently... What a shame the problem hasn't been fixed all summer long. Disgusting actually. A top tourist spot for the area and it hasn't been taken care of. Very disapointing...

This is another big scenery place in BC just a few minutes off the Coquihalla Hwy. Historic train tunnels carved out of the granite you can walk through, train tressells to walk or bike, the beautiful crystal clear Coquihalla river flowing by, big mountain scenery. Take a big breath because the oxygen level here is very high. The tunnels are a 10 min walk from the parking area.

It's a popular place in the summer. The first impression seeing the tunnel is the awesome grand scale of things. The rushing river and the mountainous backdrop give you a feel for the old west. And as you enter the tunnel you could feel the rush of cool air. Water drops fall on you from the seepages from above. If you are intrigued by rock formations, this place will rock you but only as a side trip. This is not a whole day thing so plan accordingly. But definitely worth coming if you have never being here.

Nice trail by train – tunnels. If you're in the area it is worth to visit it. It's not a long walk, so suitable for the whole family. Take a flashlight with you!

easy walking trail (ok for seniors), fabulous views, didn't see any wildlife though, very peaceful and relaxing

I take every friend or family member who come to visit us in Hope to the tunnels, it is spectacular anytime of year but the spring run off time if my favorite time, the water is rushing so hard you cant hear yourself talking, summer and winter there are small salmon spawning runs where you can see the fish jumping and fighting their way up the river. This area has been used in a few movie scenes Rambo First Blood one of the most famous. This is a must see to anyone travelling through trust me, nice easy level ground walk, only takes about an hour to go through and back again, longer if you take the whole trail hike.
