My rating is based upon this serving as just a local museum,Great little museum with tons of information on local history. Can learn the whole story about what happened to the Golden Spruce and the guy who cut it down.. Definitely worth the $3 fee, Very nice and knowledgeable woman as attendant to talk to you about the Golden Spruce and other local topics, Can zip thru in 20 minutes or immerse yourself in on a topic of interest for 2 hours.

My wife and I dropped by the museum to get some advice from the tourist office, in the same building, but didn't have time to see the artifacts, so this review doesn't mean much except that we'd like to thank the young woman who was very helpful with hiking information and gave us some good tips on local sights.

Very good community museum. Lots of artifacts included by local residents. I also enjoyed seeing the Golden Spruce seedling, now kept safely behind a chainlink fence.

A very neat museum with lots of interesting history. I especially liked seeing the original letters and news articles about the logger who cut down the famous golden spruce tree. Friendly staff, good price.
