This park is like a hidden treasure. There are many trails to walk ranging from the low knoll, to the steeper but amazing high knoll trail. The high knoll has a stunning lookout point that gives you a 180 degree view as far as the eye can see looking south from Pitt Lake all the way past Burnaby mountain. It's amazing on a sunny day.The trails are all very well kept and easy to navigate. There are lots of signs, and some of the lower trails have benches to sit at. There is also a small picnic area closer to the main lodge. There are two parking lots to use, both on opposite sides of the park. Both have outhouses located close by.The main pond area is always loaded with water fowl in the winter, and sometimes you can see one of the several beavers cruising by. Lots of wildlife in the area so make sure you are bear aware at all times.

I've been to this beautiful park many times while living in the area. It's big (but not too big), lots of trails, fairly clear directions if you want to do a loop. You may even see some beavers swimming around gathering for their damn... be weary during bear season, but I haven't spotted a bear in my many visits except from afar, so don't worry too much. Make lots of noise while walking, never feed the animals, basic common sense is always good in any forested park. Bonus: Quite a few geocaches if you're into that! :)
