I use this trail at least once a week for running, cycling and walking. It can get a bit busy on sunny weekends, but worth going.

It's an awesome trail to walk. You can see eagles, blue heron and watch the fisherman. It is a great walking trail.

A scenic walk along the dike of the Vedder river. You cann walk for miles on a well maintained path and see eagles and sometimes deer and on occasion a bear or two. Lots of benches well placed to sit and rest and just enjoy the river scenery as well as picnic tables along the route. Not impressed with how many people do not clean up after their dogs even tho bags and garbage cans are along the trail. Sometimes some of the bike riders are going much too fast and you can't always hear them coming up behind you. Other than that it is lovely.

This is a great place to go for an easy walk along a wide maintained trail through forests, along the river, and on the dike between river and farms. Saw some wildlife such as geese, ducks, an eagle, a heron, squirrels, rabbits, frogs, and a snake. Most herons have migrated by September.

We recently moved here to Chilliwack and friends took us to the Vedder River Rotary Trail. What an amazing trail. The Rotary club has done an outstanding job and the city crew keep it well maintained. It's peaceful, beautiful and an easy walk. The river is right there and you can see the fishers trying to catch their dinner. Plus, it's clean and pretty much litter free.

I use this trail almost daily for cycling, running and walking. It tends to be busy weekend mornings, but fairly quiet in the early evenings. Great place to exercise and unwind. Beautiful mountain and river views.

Vedder River Trail is 15.5 km of the most wonderful walking experience you can imagine. The river is absolutely one of BCs finest and most beautiful - crystal clear waters, great views, super easy walking, great access. Walking, biking, horse back - accessible to some wheelchairs. Vedder Road from Highway 1 to Vedder Crossing a short distance from Chilliwack Lake. Lots of parking if driving. We walked from the Vedder River Inn adding a half hour to the walk and stayed on the trail for approx 5 km then returned via some new subdivisions. Next time we will do much more if not all of the trail. Access can be from numerous roads and streets. Point of interest is the Great Blue Heron Reserve - bring headphones for an audio tour (trail talker)This guaranteed to please and is an easy walk etc for children.
