I enjoyed the walk and scenery, it's not a difficult walk and very enjoyable. Got some great pics and a bit of fresh air and exercise

you'll have spectacular views of rock formations in the ocean as you travel high along the coast and through forest along a well maintained path. Moose sightings are a possibility.

Whales, ice bergs, sea stacks, stunningly beautiful, if there is only one hike that you have time for in NL, this is it. Do not miss it. Any person of good health can do this trail which is well maintained and has excellent places to stop rest, eat a packed lunch, any amateur can take fabulous photos.Just be aware that these are high cliffs and no irresponsible horsing around is advised--the cliffs are steep and it is a long way down. Where necessary stairs and wooden walks have been added for safety environmental preservation and to make the steep parts easier to climb.

This hike probably has some of the coolest and most diverse scenery I have seen in Newfoundland. The hike is about 5km and is of moderate difficulty. There are multiple benches scattered throughout which make a great place to stop and have lunch. Aside from the scenery, we were lucky enough to come across a young moose about 5m from where we were walking. Although a highly traversed trail, it is still quite inhabited with wildlife!

Great trail with spectacular view. You find benches waiting for you at different spots which is very nice. I don't think this is a hike for small children since there are a lot of areas where the cliffs drop right into the deep without any guard rails.

My husband and I are not hikers. If you are not a hiker and are wondering if you can do this hike, you can. If you can walk up and down stairs (however slowly) and have reasonably good shoes on, you can hike this path. If you need a rest, there are benches placed throughout the trail. You will not regret it- the views are spectacular, the trail is well maintained, and you can feel good about getting some exercise. When we were there in July, we saw humpback whales breaching. There were icebergs foundering in the ocean below. It really and truly is worth the exercise. We left feeling like we had seen a little sliver of hidden Newfoundland (or a little more of it than the people who never get out of the car).

It was foggy and rainy when we did this hike but we would still rate it as one of the best hikes we have ever done. The trail is extremely well maintained, excellent views, and we even saw a young silver fox finishing his breakfast before scurrying into his den. Be sure to do the lookout spur trail too.

Our friend told us about this trail which we might not have noted with the arts and culture in Trinity taking so much of our attention. This trail was stunning. We took the coastal path and it is certainly the best trail I have seen in NL. We walked the trails of the Cinque Terra in Italy and wished they had put half as much effort into that trail. The carefully crafted wooden steps, the planks with mesh the had minimal impact on the bog but maximum safety had us raving about the trail builders the entire way. It is certainly hilly, but attainable. We enjoyed the blueberries and raspberries, as well as the views, the birds, the groves of gnarled trees, the rocky cliffs and carpets of moss. Thank you Skerwink Trail Volunteers. It is a remarkable labour of love. I was nervous to leave a donation in the box at the end of the trail, but will try to figure out how to get one to you.

Amazing views, reasonably challenging but not too arduous. Bring your camera, binoculars, and a walking stick is helpful.

This trail is lovingly maintained by local volunteers. Be sure to take the coastal route....it's breathtaking. It can be challenging....so take your time (or not) it's definitely worth it. It's not a race....so take your camera...and enjoy the scenery.

Absolutely one of the best trails I have ever hiked. Lots of great pictures of the sea stacks. Hike is considered moderate in difficulty but can be handled by just about anyone. Lots of rest areas along the way.

I would say the hike was medium to moderate. Nothing too steep for too long and visa versa. Well maintained and a great view of the ocean for most of the hike. It wasn't busy so it really felt like you had the journey all to yourself. Highly recommend, even in the rain.

Beautiful area for hiking and sightseeing. remote, but basic amenities and needs will be met. Hotel is not fancy but everything was clean and comfortable.

If you love hiking and you are up for some hills and great scenery than the Skerwink Trail is a must. Wear good shoes and dress in layers as you'll go through fields, forest, and shoreline. There are nice stops along the way to rest and just soak up the beauty of nature. Don't forget your water!!

A 5.2km, 2.5hr trail with some of the most spectacular sights of the NFLD coastline. The cliff's have a sharp drop. Be careful! Well worth it and relatively easy walking trail.
