A really amazing little spot. Gorgeous view, really engaging exhibits and friendly staff. They had great live music when we were there, too. (part of a festival)

We made sure to make plans to visit the museum after we stayed the night in Baddeck. (We had heard that the museum was worth a visit.) We found the exhibits very informative and interesting. What a mind Alexander Graham Bell possessed, a genius! Most people know about the telephone, but there were so many more projects and inventions he was involved in.Also, lots of information about the man and his family.Lovely setting.

Do NOT miss this wonderful museum. We learnt so very much. We had no idea about all his marvellous inventions and loved seeing the house from the boat too.

This place definitely has some good information and models on Alexander Graham Bell's experiments, but it did not have much that was interesting for me.

Loads to do and see well worth the stop at the national historic site. Gives you the opportunity to learn so much that I never knew existed and what a genius he was

This is a great museum in the charming town of Baddeck; it is situated on a hill overlooking Baddeck Bay. I was unaware of how instrumental Bell was in experimenting with aviation, and that he and is associates built 4 planes including the Silver Dart, This was an amazing man who wanted his children to have the freedom to be children at a time that society was so restrictive!

Lots to see and read about in this museum about the life and all of the inventions of A.G. Bell. Good lesson in history.

This is mostly about Bells experiments with planes and high speed boats which were carried out locally. Telephones play a lesser role. Interesting as he was on the cutting edge of development so some weird boats were developed. Must see if in Baddeck.

The Alexander Bell Museum is a total experience - exhibits, video, air experiment artifacts and many other pieces and concepts that Bell was instrumental in developing. Who knew??? His reasons for pursing the telephone and other inventions were heart felt and personal. He would be a wonderful person to have a dinner, drinks and long chats with.

The museum is very well done and absorbed our tour group and others with no trouble. It has lots of Bell memorabilia and was well worth the visit.

This museum gives a fantastic insight into the genius of Alexander Graham Bell. Who knew that the telephone was only a small part of his many inventions. We spent approximately five hours looking at all the static and interactive exhibits describing his work and the wonderful partnership that Bell had with his wife who was deaf. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a definite must see museum when you're in the Baddeck area!

We always knew that Alexander Graham Bell invented the working telephone and was involved in speech therapy. What this museum does is bring his whole life and inventiveness together in one well laid-out museum.Mr. Bell was involved in aviation, hydrofoils, and other forms of communication. As a former network guy, I was very interested in his multiplexing telegraph. Neat invention that really was the forerunner of much of our telecommunications. The museum has a few old telephones on display but there is much more on his other inventions. Many short, well done, videos are available throughout the museum and give you a chance to sit and reflect. Easy access to all exhibits.

Pull on your white gloves and slip behind the scenes to discover the private life of one of the most influential figures in human history. When Alexander Graham Bell landed in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, he fell in love with the landscape. Now you can touch the depths of his inventive genius. In the "The Parlour" hold Bell’s comfort items: his favourite jacket, walking stick, the personal notebook he kept tucked in his pocket. Follow the love story between "Alec" and Mabel Bell, "the girl for whom the telephone was invented." Pull the curtain back in "The Workshop" to see how Bell put everyday items to extraordinary use. Pick up his vacuum jacket (forerunner to the iron lung), model kites and hydrofoils. In "The Aeronautics Laboratory" trace Bell's path to flight, examining propellers, rotors, paper wing-shaped models and items used to build Canada’s first airplane, the Silver Dart. Hold Bell's history in your hands; it might just change your world.
