Rattray Marsh is a little slice of paradise in amoungst the urban buildup surrounding it. The tracks are well maintained although in winter it is not a walkway for the unsteady amoung us as ice and snow covers the tracks The streams are frozen as is the marsh but it is pleasing on the eye nonetheless.Come back in summer to see the fish swimming, Turtles and frogs, snakes shivering across the track and birds everywhere. It truly is magnificent.

I started the walk to Rattray Marsh from Jack Darling Park. You walk along a shingle beach with great views of Lake Ontario. Rattray Marsh has a lot of raised wooden board walks and you can see lots of birds all throughout the year. Worth a visit.

I go here all the time. Love running the trails in the summer because they're nice and cool. If you go in the spring, you will see a variety of wildlife, including deer. This is a gem in the city-- you won't even feel like you're in Mississauga anymore!

This is a unique place to go for a walk. There are boardwalks across the marsh and it is open year round. I've seen a beaver here and deer and many types of birds. It is worth visiting all year round - in winter the ice on the lake can be beautiful.

An beautiful and easy hike with exposure to a wide variety of nature, marshes, shoreline, forest, streams. I went in the winter between 2 and 4pm, during my walk about 7 deer appeared in the a forest about 30 feet from me. They were large and healthy. It was magical, as the other hikers on the boardwalk had just passed. Later heard and saw a large woodpecker. The shoreline was also transformed into an arctic like environment due to the recent cold weather and snow. it was a true Canadian environment. You will have a great view of the Toronto from across the lake.

Rattray marsh is a nature lover's paradise. It is great to go through with your dog or for exercise. I loved it!

Birds- checkanimals- checkwater- checktrees- checkhiking trail- checkif you are even moderatly interesting in birding, hiking and nature, this gem in the city is a MUST. you can bike or walk most of the path/trail.. and see wild life and birds you won't find anywhere else in the city.right on the shore of Lake Ontario, where the river meets the lake.stunning.Remember your bug spray in the bug seasons of ALL THE TIME..don't forget your camera.

Was looking to get out of the house on Boxing Day, but did not want to go anywhere near Square One / Mississauga City Hall. Took my nieces here for an hour's walk before sunset. Beautiful, quiet, and uncrowded. We walked down to the beach and walked on the sand. Plenty of ducks and swans in the water. Got to skip stones in Lake Ontario. They had signs up and had one path closed off because they were removing excess silt from the marsh. The main boardwalk was open.

Great walking trails in both summer and winter. Terrific bird watching and place to just sit and read a book. Quiet and peaceful by the lake.

I enjoy walking along the boardwalk and finding birds, turtles, plants and trees. It's a little of heaven in the city to find here!!! If you haven't been there, go and find out for yourself!!!

I won't harp on this one point, but yes, there are no bikes allowed. That said, it's not like the area is patrolled. 'Nuff said.Visiting Rattray Marsh for the first is a nice experience once you find a place to park. Parking is limited to just a few spaces so plan accordingly. The trail is a mix of crushed gravel and boardwalk and for those with mobility issues, be aware that there are stairs and some rather steep hills so be advised that walkers and wheelchairs will be limited in places. Signs are limited to the entrance areas so take a good long look at the map. If you're one to get turned around when you're in the trees, you may want to snap a photo with your phone. If you have time on your hands, you'll find that the trail is roughly 2km if you touch all of them. It will lead you ultimately to Lake Ontario depending where you enter and a rather secluded beach area. This area is particularly beautiful in the winter after a fresh snow, but tread lightly because in the early morning or dusk, deer will be out and about. Be careful not to frighten them off.Being a marsh, there are plenty of different species of birds. Bring your camera or binoculars and lots of time and you will not be disappointed.

Hidden gem along Mississauga's waterfront! Boardwalk and trails make for a relaxing trek surrounded by raw beauty. Lots of birds and animals to enjoy. Although bikes are prohibited, shouldn't deter anyone from spending time here. Not uncommon to see deer in this area and fish splashing in the waters.

If you're looking for a place to spend a few quiet moments away from the hustle and bustle of the city, visit the marsh. There is a great Boardwalk, easily accessible, that takes you through the marsh area and right out to the beach. Take your binoculars and if you're lucky you will see a good variety of bird life. I've been there several times and it varies. Spring and Fall I've always found to be the best times for visits to the marsh. You can park either at the beach area parking or on some of the side streets further west where you can easily access the walk.

This is an outstanding conservation area, lots to see and a variety of Eco and nature stuff. I just cannot believe with the current growth and culture of cyclists that they do not allow bicycles. That's a big negative in my books. The hikers, walkers are somehow seen has more Eco friendly? Give me a break.

It's for quiet walking and nature viewing and it's right along the lake in Clarkson. Please don't ride your bike along the boardwalk - it's for pedestrians.
