Make sure you go during the autumn, as well. It's beautiful all the time, and massive. Ideal for picnics, family gatherings, and interventions. The bridge over the river is fun to look from, and if you go deep into the ravine by that old mansion, the trees are AMAZING in the fall.

Our house backs on a large woodlot above the steep walls of the Credit River Valley surrounding Erindale Park. For over 40 years we have used the area summer and winter. In the Spring and Summer we do nature walks or just walk our dogs. Fall is the time for salmon fishing and I snowshoe there in the winter. We have seen coyote, deer, fox and a variety of small animals. Occasionally we come across trucks and equipment from the movie support industry. Several movies have been made here with the valley usually representing somewhere far south in the U.S.A. The David J Culham trail runs along the side of the park and continues north for 18 kms to the city of Brampton. In the mid 1970s there were plans to develop the largest woodlot along the east cliff with high rise apartments. David Culham was a city councilor who worked with the area residents to save one of the best river valleys in the Greater Toronto Area. Eventually the entire Erindale Park and much of the surrounding was officially declared 'Greenbelt'.

The only complaint that I have is that the climb from the park to the UTM campus where I study is very slippery and dangerous and almost impossible to do in the winter time but it is a great place to picnic. I guess you wouldn't go to the park in the winter time anyway so the unpleasant uphill climb is irrelevant. I am not lazy but I think that the climb up hill is dangerous for people who have balance issues which I sometimes do, especially in the winter time if you park your car in that park.

This park just off Dundas Street between Mississauga Road and Erindale Station Road is a wonderful escape from the city. There is ample of free parking. There are kids playgrounds, BBQ and picnic areas and lots of green space. There are benches along the river banks to contemplate life or watch the fishermen or the salmon swim up stream in the fall. You will see people walking, groups meeting somewhere for a sing song, people working out with trainers, fishermen fishing, lots to see and do here. Walk down to the river where the path will take you right up to Ellington Ave alongside the beautiful Credit River. There are a multitude of different paths to follow just go and explore what a wonderful path system this truly is. In the summer there is a hot dog vendor in the parking lot and the park does have toilettes. You will feel that you are somewhere special up north as the scenery of the river taking turns is outstanding. The fall colours here are spectacular. If you are a nature lover you will find blue herons and different species of birds .I love to run alongside the river to Ellington Ave as this is so peaceful. All in all this is a great park in the middle of a city!

It's a great place located near central Mississauga that is all natural. It is nice to walk the paths or bike and take in the natural beauty of the credit river in a major suburb.

huge well maintained park in the heart of Mississauga.. leads onto all sorts of historical hiking spots. Tons of picnic areas with BBQ's, benches and all along the banks of the amazing credit river.Watch the salmon swim up stream so close you can touch them ( don't).The river is shallow here, and great blue herons will entertain you with their fishing skills if you stand very still. Some fishing is allowed.,. refer to the signs for areas and times.lots of free parking.

A great park that helps you forget you are in one of Canada's largest cities. Walk along the credit river, play whatever your sport is on the grass, picnic under the mature trees, fish for trout and salmon. A nice relaxing afternoon after a long week.

This park is beautiful but a word of warning. If you plan to stay after dark, it feels pretty sketchy from the people who frequent the park when the sun goes down.

Its a good place to do family BBQ, we go there in good summer days, but try to avoid going there on long weekend , because, it gets crazy busy

This is a good park to visit. Lots of space. Just wish they could improve on the parking.Washrooms tend to be far as well especially for the elderly.

Living close to this park is definitely a blessing. The park is huge, with a long trail along the river. There are a few picnic areas available. Down sides are parking can be difficult because the lots get filled quickly on busy weekends and I believe there is only one public washroom available.

great area, can wade in the water - certain areas are not too fast for kids, lots of picnic areas, bbq section, lots of hiking / walking trails, sufficient parking, busy on the weekends - high demand area

Beautiful park in Mississauga (off Dundas St going westbound on your right hand side). Large open field. Plenty of space for family bbqs or quietly reading book. Creditview River passes through it so you can also fish or kayak. Beautiful walking trail as well. Beautiful in all seasons specially autumn. Great place for outdoor photos or to meditate.

Went here for the afternoon and loved it! There is an amazing trail that runs along the Credit River which is beautiful! Its amazing that you can be right in the middle of the city but feel like your out in the country here. The park is a great place to relax and have a pick-nick lunch. Lots of room for games/activities, would make a great place for a family outing.
