Great place to walk along to checkout the marina, lake and bay areas as well as the park. Great for young and old alike, whether you wish to walk, bike, picnic or if you have children, enjoy the play area, by the Tugboat playground. The Yacht club is fairly close by, as well there are a couple restaurants nearby such as Hutch's Harbor Front, Williams or for a more formal setting there is Sarcoa, where you can stop and enjoy a coffee, other beverages or a bite to eat after a good walk along the trails and marina area. The area offers a lot for nature lovers and draws a lot of hikers. In the warmer weather there is a waterfront trolley which connects the piers and where you can tour the area.

Me, my husband, my daughter and my 2 nieces went here and the park there is a giant tugboat. Is very fun to play at and there's a splash pad. Hiking and walking trails cover the place. Its an amazing place to just get out of the house and do something.

I loved the place because it gives you tons of view and close to the harbour. You will found few food trucks during the summer if you are hungry and there are restaurant at the main entrance for fish and chips...you must go if you visiting Hamilton

At pier four they have the best spot for fish and chips.Hutch's fish and chips is a great place to stop if your are going to the park or marina or just plain hungry and want great food..They also have draft beer that goes great with your fish. Enjoy!!!

Pier Four is an incredibly beautiful park with winding trials, a boardwalk with gazebo and a sand beach as well as a interesting play area for kids! Our community group enjoys hikes all round the Southern Ontario region (Southern Ontario GO! or SOGO! a Meetup group) and this is so gorgeous we just had to repeat it. The parking is free. I recommend starting at Bayfront Park, (free parking) just next door, and walk around the trail loop, then through the yacht club road (it belongs to the Waterfront Trail) to Pier Four Park, then around the second Yacht Club and Hamilton Harbour Commission to Williams Coffee Pub ...it is a nice little walk (or hike if you walk quickly!). We love it so much it is a repeated hike! Oh...and there is absolutely no cost!http://www.meetup.com/Southern-Ontario-GO-SOGO/

A fine restaurant on the shores of Hamilton Harbor. Fine food walking path, sail boats, parking Ice cream parlor... Ride around the harbor on a mini bus that has six coaches or by boat along the shore of the harbor.

I love to go to the Pier on the weekend with my dog. You can go for short of long jaunts and there are not huge crowds, but plenty to look at. Beautiful park!

The creation of this park is one of the best things the City of Hamilton ever did. It is free to use and has something for everyone of all ages and abilities. It's used by families, singles, cyclists, walkers, roller bladers, long boarders, power boat enthusiasts, canoeists, kayakers, dragon boaters. Every Thursday in the summer there is an antique car show (free), a roller / ice rink, free to use and a small charge if you need to rent skates, and now bicycle rentals (there is a fee). Williams Coffee ($), Hutches ($), and Sarcoa ($$$+) restaurants.

We did everything there was to do at the harbour except visit the playground (we had no children with us). Our Hamiltonian Tour Boat ride was lots of fun and informative. We rode the trolley which provided us with even more information about Hamilton Harbour. We ate at Williams, the ice cream shop and the new water front restaurant Sarcoa. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Hamilton waterfront and would recommend it to anyone staying in Hamilton!

Have gone on many a great walk along the shoreline of Hamilton Harbour. You can walk all the way from Pier 4 or Bayfront Park to Princess Point, several kilometres away. The wildlife and distant views of Burlington and the Skyway Bridge are spectacular. It is nice to get walking exercise and great views at the same time. There is a fish elevator that has a showing once in a while(check for schedule). At this place you can see the naturalists separating fish that come up the elevator. If the fish is a carp, it is sent back to the bay while game fish like pike and bass, as examples, are allowed to go into Cootes Paradise. The carp eat the plants that create a good water environment so they are not allowed in. We are lucky in Hamilton to be on the water and many visitors can walk the trail or have a ride on a mini tram that takes you from one end to the other with a tour guide commenting on the surroundings. Nice, peaceful walks take the stress out of your life, at least for part of your day.

A beautiful scenic place to walk, run, rollerblade, bike, fish, take the dog, sit , picnic....whatever you choose. It is a clean park with a path , a beach(can`t swim there), shady areas, picnic tables, private nooks, and a gorgeous view of the water and the highlevel bridge. It is so peaceful. I love walking my dog here first thing in the morning. The parking lot is huge and the washrooms are clean.

This is a gorgeous spot in hamilton, it makes me feel like I'm in cottage country when I visit. There are lots of spots to sit by the water and watch the birds, and lots of trails to get your sporty on. There's also some fishing a bit further down the trail (if you're okay with fishing in lake ontario) and there's a marina beside if you're in the mood to wander through boats. Last week we got to encounter a beaver randomly sauntering around here. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny, relaxing day.
