If you are visiting Woodstock, you must stop by the cow and take a few pictures. Woodstock was once the dairy capital of Canada. Lots of farm lands around, and the Springbank Snowcountess produced a record amount of milk. A facinating part of the history of this city.

I can't believe this is rated as the number 2 thing to see in Woodstock but yea sure, it's a cow, there is a plaque, that sums it up.

If you go to Woodstock, you have to see this Girl! She is udderly delightful! The "Snow Countess" was born on November 18, 1919 and died August 9, 1936. During her lifetime, she produced 9,062 pounds of butterfat....that is a lot of ice cream, butter, chocolate icing, cookies...mmmmmmmm

Neat monument. Nothing special, but worth a quick look. She has moved around woodstock a bit, but now has a real good spot on the main drag.

Hard to miss and well worth stopping for a photo. Be sure to read the informational plaque highlighting her claims to fame. Very appropriate for an agricultural town like Woodstock to honour their favourite cow. Love seeing this whenever I drive by.

Cute and informative. Park in the supermarket lot next door if busy but usually is not. Great for photos. Replica's of the cow show up all over the city.......most recently at the Woodstock Hospital.

This cow has been in my life forever.... I have seen it many different colours and have seen it moooooove locations. This location is by far the best one for visitors to stop and read about her. A very attractive setting on an accessible corner at the east end of the city. My best memory of this cow is hearing of how my parents used it as the setting for their wedding photos! LOL

It's kitschy--and authentic. Postcards of her are available from Tourism Oxford, which is in the lobby of the Quality Inn. (I searched for the postcards, hope this tip is helpful to someone.)
