Spent a morning and early afternoon here with some girlfriends snow showing, wine tasting and shopping. The location is lovely, with gentle inclines for the less experienced or active snow shoe enthusiast. Your reward for all that work, can be a reasonably priced wine tasting with or without cheese platter! The staff are knowledgeable and fun! Eva made our day THE BEST! She is now part of our sisterhood. We will definitely return, maybe as an annual outing to enjoy our fabulous winters and all that we have to do in the area.Note: if you have your own snow shoes you can use the trails for free!I dare you to leave with only one bottle of wine!! Enjoy!

We were looking for something fun to do and fairly warm on the weekend so we stopped by the winery. We did the tour, the wine tasting, some snowshoeing, and sat by the fire. Everyone at the winery was very helpful and kind. It was really cool to see how wine is made from fruit other than grapes and the different flavors.

If you want to learn more about cranberry farming and winemaking with cranberries and blueberries, this is the place! While we were at a cottage near Port Carling, we found out about this year round destination. We started with an outdoor tour of the equipment and a look at the fields. Then a stroll inside for wine and cheese tasting. Other options were snowshoeing and sitting by the campfire. A fun reasonably priced event.

My husband an I did the tour of Johnson's cranberry marsh as part of the Bala Cranberry Festival today. It was a nice day, which brought out the crowds. Get there early for the best parking! At Johnson's Cranberry marsh we signed up for the wine tasting sessions so we could purchase our favorites. With the wine selection they had, I'm sure anyone could find at least one to bring home.

We stopped by the winery and cranberry marsh not really knowing what to expect. It was really fantastic! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I really learned a lot about the cultivation and harvesting about cranberries (sounds like a dry topic, but it's quite interesting). Tasting the cranberry and blueberry wines, especially with the local cheeses on offer, was superb. The spot itself is very peaceful and scenic, with a friendly pooch making his rounds to say hello to visitors, and trails available for walking and hiking.

We went on the Bog to Bottle tour with the Pickers "lunch". This included a tour of the bog and information on harvesting, making the wine, etc. and then a tasting of 5 or 6 wines, followed by fresh locally made crackers, compotes, cheese and kolbassa and a glass of your choice of wine from the tasting. Even though "lunch" is a bit of a stretch for the crackers and cheese, etc, provided, we still considered the whole experience to be amazing value. We took the "lunch" and our wine out on the deck overlooking the bog, and sipped, chatted and ate. We will definitely go back and do it again just for fun just the two of us, but it is now a "must do" when we have friends and family up to visit. If you live or cottage here and haven't done this, you are truly missing out. Don't forget to also buy a bottle or two - the Georgian Bay Rose is very popular when we serve it to guests or when we bring it to dinners. The cranberry wine is also great served chilled on a hot summer day. Although the tour/tasting/lunch costs, there is no fee to visit the winery and stop in to the great little shop they have there.

We booked the "Bog to Bottle Culinary Experience" which included a tour of the cranberry bog & winery. The guide was very knowledgable about how cranberries are grown, harvested, & made into wine. Following the tour we sat at an outside patio overlooking the bog where we were able to taste & rate eight of their wines. Afterwards, we each chose our favourite wine & were given a glass served with local cheeses, crackers, & cranberry chutney. We were also able to buy their wines & other cranberry products in their store. We love their wines even more now that we have learned about their production!

Stop in, pay $5 and learn about the cranberry and blueberry wines this little winery is producing. Also available some amazing dried cranberries of course, but in dark chocolate? Yum. Great spot to add to your wandering when visiting the area too for a tour of the facility and please...feed the turkeys.

This is a fun, relaxed way to sample a unique variety of wines. The staff is very friendly and make wine tasting less intimidating for anyone who doesn't know a lot about wine. Buy on location if you like what you taste, only two of their many varieties are at the LCBO.

Wendy Hogarth knows her berries and provides a terrific presentation on the making of fruit wines while conducting a tasting. There is a lot to see and explore around the farm.Worth the trip to Bala.
