We came here after visiting a much larger "award winning" winery and we were so much more impressed with Featherstone. The staff person was warm and welcoming, informative and down to earth. The fee for tasting is 5$ which is donated to a local food bank if you don't make a purchase. Of course the wine was fabulous so we left with multiple bottles. However if we didn't, I would have happily paid for the generous, delicious samples. Don't miss this gem!

sheep grazing the vineyards & trained falcons shooing away the birds, oh, and the wine was nice too!

After a busy day touring the region and visiting numerous wineries and tasting lots of delicious wine, we all decided we were "Wine-tasted out", but decided to visit this one last place. Featherstone is a decidedly different experience than many of the "new" wineries in the area. Having just visited a huge glass and steel building high on a hill with a mile long driveway, to find the tasting room here at the back of an old farmhouse in what may have once beer the kitchen was a pleasant experience. It was small but we were there alone most of the time and the host took the time to actually talk to us about their wine, making it a pleasant wine tasting experience rather than just a sampling of the product. Do not hesitate to make this a stop on your tour of the wineries in the region. Their wine is first rate and the staff are great!

We were so happy to find this lovely winery which had further recommendations for our day out. The staff assisted us in tasting and buy wines. We miss an opportunity to share cheese plates as they are only offered on certain days, but we were generously given a couple of other places to stop for a quick bite.
