The course itself is always in great shape. Fairways are like walking on carpet and the greens for the most part are challenging. The bunkers are not what they should be on a course with such a good reputation, not enough sand and hard to hit a sand shot as it should be done. Club house is average and so is the food but has a nice veranda to eat, drink and relax.

This is a golf course with club house facilities. The meals are very good and the golf course is in excellent shape. They just hosted the PGA Canada Great Waterways Classic Golf tournament and it was awesome.

Very walkable course through the woods in the front 9 and along the housing development for the back 9. The course is short but ts demanding because of the deep rough.The food/beverage cart is now out regularly. The clubhouse food is good but the bar prices are excessive.

The course is nice tough greens the scenery is quite nice. It is a challenging for the weekend golfer with a handcap of 14 or more.I do not recommend playing this course in July when it is hot a humid, duringthe week as apparently that cannot afford a beverage cart during the week. That is probably why I will never play this course again.

This course is nice to play although being in everyone's backyard isn't that great. Also some of the cart paths actually take you between houses and across different streets in the subdivision. It was overall an enjoyable day with the exception of the staff and the food. Very flavourless food provided in a "buffet" of just a salad & 2 types of pasta. There was not one single person around at any time with beverage/food cart. Also didn't find the older staff very friendly especially with the size of group ie. $$$ that we paid that day for the round for all of us. Overall enjoyed the course but not the neighbourhood or the staff very much.

this is a nice course with difficult greens..often it is difficult to get on due to many tournaments. Food is good in the restaurant and there is a nice verandah area

The course it self is ok, nothing special. The scenery is quite nice. The food in the restaurant is another thing entirely, per packaged over priced. The bar tender and server were great though! They need to upgrade their chef and drop their prices for golfing and food...way over priced

I attended a Chamber of Commerce meeting here. I am vegetarian so the food for me, was very average but they made sure to tell me what dishes I could and couldn't eat. I went home and had the rest of my dinner

This golf course is very well maintained and you couldn't meet nicer people. Although I have never actually golfed at this location, I have played at this location many, many times, (I'm a p/t disc jockey). The people are some of the nicest you'd want to meet and also has 2 huge banquet facilities for weddings, anniversaries, etc. The landscape is beautiful and again, you can tell they take pride judging by the cleanliness of the building/premises .... I've been told the golfing is fantastic by many golfers.

Had 8 guys come out here for a weekend of golf and really enjoyed this course on June 5th 2010. A+ fairway quality, but some greens were too "pizza"ish for my liking. When I pay that kind of money for a golf course, I have some high expectations and some of the greens didn't cut it.Overall a great course with a decent challenge. If you're a beginner, don't come here since you'll be playing the back 9 in a housing complex. It leaves little room for error off the tee box on some holes. A bad slice / drive can easily hit a house, and damages are your responsibility.

I just played Loyalist golf and country club for the first time this past weekend and I couldn't be more pleased. From the fantastic conditions of the golf course, to the great service from the friendly staff at the 19th hole, Loyalist provided me and my friends with a great day of golf. The value we received for our dollar ranks right up there with all best golf clubs I've ever played at, anywhere in North America. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys golf or great dining, and will be in the Kingston area. Fantastic job and kudos to Loyalist!
