We absolutely loved this park. We camped here for 2 nights while on our 2 week camping trip. I wish the weather had been better and that we had stayed longer. The sites are gorgeous. The lake and beach are beautiful. The interpretative trail was fantastic. The nature centre, the store and the staff were amazing. Go here before you go to Algonquin!! You won't regret it.

All aspects of the campsite were excellent. Since I camped this past weekend in offside I still had to reserve early to get a riverside campsite. Campsite 89 was large with 2 tables and right by the water. The staff are friendly and if you forgot something the store is well stocked with supplies. A nice touch at the store is their Kurig coffee machine. Canoe and kayak rentals are there as well.A little hint though. In September there were very few mosquitoes but I can see in the middle of summer how you would need your bug spray. There was standing water beside my site which would attract many bugs during the summer.

This is now one of our favourite provincial campgrounds! It is beautiful, clean and nicely maintained. The staff were all friendly and the sites are immaculate. We had a site in the radio free zone, and were impressed with how large, private and flat our site was. Each site seemed to have 2 picnic tables which is a big plus! I spent a lot of time on the online reservation system looking at pictures and reading the privacy levels - as we prefer to be away from the road and not in a wide open space with few trees between. After driving around a bit you could see there are plenty to choose from. We ended up spending so much of the day at the beach anyhow. The beach is really great! Nice sand with perfect shallow waters that make it easy for families with young kids. There's even a nice playground and store right at the beach where you can pick up snacks, supplies and beach toys. We'll definitely return next year.

We have camped at Bonnechere several times and always get a river site! We like number 76 to 78 because you get some sun and also some shade. The river is great for canoeing and kayaking and viewing wonderful wildlife! The lake is absolutely clean and wonderful to swim in, with a beach that is rare! It is probably one of the best beaches in Eastern Ontario! Fishing isn't bad on the river and I hear they have restocked the lake with trout! Will return year after year!

Spent a weekend camping there and was pleased with the area. Very nice sandy beach was easily accessible and a short walk away, no seaweed which was great. Hiking path was also right nearby where there is lots of opportunity to view wildlife, the mosquitoes and horseflies were relentless though, so long sleeves/ bug-suit might be a good idea for the hiking area considering it weaves through swampy/ marsh land. All in all, I'd visit again based on the beach alone.

Canoe the river or huge lake. Cheapest canoe rental in the area. $30 for a 24 hr period. We rented a canoe at Fitzroy for $23 for 2 hrs. Caught lots of fish, saw lots of birds, turtles, snakes, dragon/damsel flies moths and butterflies. Coming back to do more at a later date. Our only problem with the park was our 27 ft trailer good not make the turn entering the water fill station when we got to the park and also our site was very tight getting into with all the big trees.

Park is very well organized with spaced out and private sites. The beach is spectacular. Designated swimming area is big and sandy. Great swimming along the river as well. Very clean facilities. Park is quiet and very family oriented. Lots of wildlife.

Just driving back from the Park now. Beautiful park. Great lots, beach, park, store, staff, everything. My only remark is the lots need to be raked of leaves and pine needles. And it's the first week June and the mosquitoes were the worst I have EVER experienced and I have been camping my entire life. It was unbearable and we had to stay in our trailer when at our lot.

A beautifully laid out park giving access to both the Bonnechere River and Round Lake. The one downside is that the fishing is not that great but all the park services are top notch and the location is fabulous.

Песочный пляж, детская площадка. Озеро неглубокое на довольно большом расстоянии от берега. Хорошо для детей. Дно озера у берега покрыто какой-то растительностью.
