The Guelph Lake conservation Area is at it's best in the Fall. The crowds are gone, and the colours are spectacular.

Great place for day trips or to spend a night or two camping. There are activities for the kids and lots of family activities too. There are canoes available to rent and plenty of places to swim and fish. The park is very large making it a challenge for families with little children or mobility issues to easily navigate without a vehicle. Should you choose to camp, there is plenty to do. There are both serviced and unserviced sites available and your choice of sun or shade. The washrooms and showers are large and well maintained. There park workers are frequently visible riding in the truck and available for any complaints or concerns you may have. The purchase of a park pass is a great deal whether you are visiting for a few hours, few days or staying the season. The pass is good for any GRCA park so you can visit any of the several in the area.

Best buy in the area is the season's pass and access to the conservation area. Quick trips or camping, day camps and interesting critters.

We were here for the Subaru Sprint Triathlon event Aug 30th, and it was a great place for the event, lots for the family to do while the parent races. Clean beaches, water, bathrooms.....area to fish, hike, etc. We definitely will want to go back and explore on our own. It looked like it had really nice little camper areas that were private with hook-ups. great place to bring the bikes too.

Even though the weather was against us, it was a very great trip. We got an unserviced site for two nights. The park is very spacious with beautiful scenery, water, and things to do. We are planning to go again before the year was up, it was very relaxing and a great place to camp. The only thing was that the shower we had to pay 50 cents for was hardly a shower. It only spit out some water, and was very difficult to use.

This park has lots of space for outdoor activities. Very nice waters for canoeing, kayaking, swimming. Great place for exploring either on the water or on foot. The dam was nice as well.

My first time at guelph lake conservation Area, got a unserviced site for 2 nights, 64$. the camping is spread throughout the park along the lake, with a large mass of campsites/trailer sites in the north camp sites. the campsites that have service (water/electricity) are in the "upper and lower parkside" and there is trees, but mostly open trailer camping, not much privacy. The "group camping sites" are all pretty large, and most are privately away from other camp sites. In my opinion, the best individual camp sites for privacy, space, and nature, is "Lookout point", and "driftwood". "Meadowvale" has some large private sites also, but alot are out in a open field with barely enough trees. the other camp sites are decent/average, close to the beaches, but less privacy. I could hear others at night, but they werent too loud (but up late 3-4am). When i was there, the park was not full, not even half, so it could be louder if full. The park is spaced out, great for biking around, lots of trails, and paved roads. A few beaches to choose from that are pretty large with people swimming, tanning, BBQing. Also many places to put a boat in the water, or fish from shore. Water and garbage bins are nearby to most unserviced sites. Washrooms are a little farther, but well maintained. Coin operated showers available, for $.25. you can buy ice and firewood. Park staff are friendly. you can also see all the sites (each of the 300+ sites are photographed individually) online, and can pay and reserve online, and also see the sites that are already reserved in each camping area. Online costs more then at the gate, because of reservation fee. Alot of nature. racoons at your site at night, coyotes heard in the distance at night. Large birds of prey, squirrels, chipmunks, ground hogs in many places, many small water birds, mosquitos were there too, I even saw a milk snake on a trail!!overall, it was a good 2 nights, I would return for another weekend retreat.

We bought a season's pass to this conservation area two years ago and really enjoyed our visits there. We would pack a picnic lunch, swim suits and our books and head down for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. It was great as we didn't have a long drive/ traffic to contend with. There was a couple of really hot days when the swimming was not safe ( high counts of bacteria) but we felt we got our money's worth.

We camped in a tent. Long walk from camp site to the beach. Bathroom facilities are clean, but you need to walk. Outhouses are close by, if needed.

The area is typical of a provincial park yet with a lot of campground sites and amenities. The beach is decent and the lake is good for fishing(though there is no strike in three hours - may be sheer bad luck). Excellent for a family outing at a nominal cost.

The Guelph Lake Conservation area was a great place for my family to enjoy while I participated in the Guelph Lake II Triathlon. The water was pleasant and the facilities were great.

Love the park, and the water and fishing are great! Too bad there aren't many overnight serviced sites available, and the ones that are there don't have much privacy and are rather small. If you don't care about the camp site itself, this is a great park to stay in because of the many things to see and do on the water.

I brought my 3 year old grandson to the beach here on Saturday. I was so disappointed with everything there at the beach There was dog poo everywhere I couldn't find 1 clean spot to put a blanket down. At the shore it was full of algee and bird feathers were everywhere I was afraid to let him play on the shore Neddless to say I will not be back I also did not see 1 person there to clean any part of the park .......... what a waste.
