This is a nice looking beach next to Los Machos. Needs some clean up just like Los Machos. Government should run this nice white sand beach. This beach can be excellent for tourism development. Also Isla Pinero should be run by the government the same way is run in Gilligan Island, Guanica. There is no life savers, no thrash cans, no facilities; almost deserted. I agree with Cary in bringing some shoes and water. Is best not to go alone. Keep the beach clean.

To get to this beach, you have to go to Ceiba and then go to the public beach called playa Macho. Park at the end of the parking lot. You will see a clearing in the mangroves and walk thru it like for five minutes. You will get to a beach and keep on walking along the beach until you see a very small beach with white sand, more or less a 20 minute walk in all. The water is very shallow and the place beautiful. This is a wild beach in the sense that not many people know about it. The negative part of this is that it has never been clean, so you will see many plastics in the mangroves...it used to belong to the US Navy and is in the back of Roosevelt Roads, Naval Base. You should wear swimming shoes, because there is a lot of crabs in the water...there is also a lot of small sardines and fishes. Take some drinks with you and please, take away your garbage.
