Pricier than one we did in Cayman and in Cayman you got to swim with them. This was fun and worth doing while you're there.

Way to short. Only a half hour for 200 $. Much longer and better experience in Mexico. It felt like give your money, no you can go. Way to big a group. Came down to just a few minutes per person with a dolphin.

Visited with my husband and college-age son. Pleasant experience for families to touch and play with dolphins in shallow beach water while wearing wetsuits. Be prepared to spend big bucks to buy professional photos at the end. Our group dolphin, Brewer, was mostly cooperative until the end.

Before you're allowed to play with the dolphins you're required to go thru orientation. I can't remember if it was 30mins or an hour. My first class consisted of 39 people, 38 were from the cruise ship and I was the only hotel guest...weird. My second time around I was still the only hotel guest out of 28 people. Since both my visits were early in the morning I guess that's why there weren't that many hotel guest. But any hoo. After your orientation, you are then divided into groups. Each person in your group will have a turn feeding, throwing the football and high 5'ing your dolphin. Now, while all of this is going on there's a resort photographer taking picture. They can be candid or posied. After your visit is complete you will visit the gift shop where you can look over your pictures and make your package purchase along with other souvenirs. Don't pass this up! If you've swam with dolphins at other tropical locations. They have nothing compared to the dolphin cay @ Atlantis. My second visit with the dolphins for free because of my reservation package. Here's an FYI. After you check in and before your orientation. You are taken to the locker area where you are fitted for a wetsuit. The lockers have combinations locks that allow you to create your own 4 digit code. I had an issue with my locker on my 2nd visit. Although I had been in/out of my locker many times during that visit. When it was time to leave It would recognize my code so I had to have someone open it for me.

I went on a cruise to the Bahamas last fall and it was amazing! My favorite experience of course was the dolphin encounter at Dolphin Cay in Atlantis. And it was Amazing!!!! I chose the shallow water experience (I'm not a very good swimmer). They divided groups of 10 people. Each group of 10 had a dolphin to interact with. My group's Dolphin name was WEE-TEE, and he's one of the Dolphins that was rescued from New Orleans after the hurricane Katrina. Wee-tee was the leader among all the dolphins in Dolphin Cay, and he was friendly, fun and playful. I got to pet him, feed him and kiss him on his nose. I fell in love!!!! Will definitely visit Dolphin Cay again!

Due to the price of the Dolphin experience, we chose to do the Sea Squirts adventure for our 3 yr old and 6 yr old. It's was much cheaper (under $40) for an hour of interaction with various sea creatures. It started in the 'fish hospital' where they got to hold a sea urchin, sea star (no longer called a 'starfish' as it's not really a fish; who knew!) and pet a shark. Then they held a little baby turtle and held shark jaws. From there they went to feed Zoe the shark from a little platform. That was fun, but the kids loved the next part which was feeding stingrays while they are in the water with them! The kids felt them swimming around their legs and got to pet them. Followed finally by a swim shirt to keep. Overall an excellent experience! Would highly recommend!

Did the shallow water. Girls got to pet the Dolphin. Atlantis photographer took "professional" photos. Could not buy any (would have although $75) because they were all blurry, can't understand this as this is her job in the same spot all day long. Anyhow, at least their mom got a few photos. P.S. Takes long than expected.

We got here as a tour from our cruise ship and we all wanted to swim and dive with dolphins. After relaxing in the sun for an hour, by the dolphin cay it was our turn. First it was back to school and some general information, then suit up and into the blue....We all had so much fun, old, older and young (2 teenagers)...It's a lifetime experience to see dolphins up close.... A bit expensive.., Yes! But worth it!!

Took our 3 boys to the Dolphin Cay and they had a great time. It is not really for kids younger than 3 years old as they have to stand in the shallow water. We went for the 8:45AM session and got buy one get one free ticket, which was awesome. The package for the pictures was around $160 which is expensive and you cannot take your own pictures.

It's a half hour with the dolphin but it will be special. The dolphins are well trained and very sweet. The staff seem to be very good with them and use to ignore the bad behavior and reward the good ones.

Had a great time in the shallow water dolphin program. My family of ten all participated and it is a definiate do.

I like the dolphins. The dolphins are friendly. The instructor is very patient. There is nothing I dislike except waiting to be training.

We really loved Dolphin Cay. The whole family did the shallow water interaction and really enjoyed it. My daughter and I did the deep water interaction and I liked it better because you got more interaction with the dolphins. The foot push was really fun!

We considered doing an activity at Dolphin Cay and then went to watch. It really does look amazing, but for the price, we enjoyed watching for free. Everyone looked like they were having fun, but the interaction is so minimal and it seems rather unnatural. I love dolphins and just interacting at all would be great, but it would be nicer in a more natural environment if that was possible. There were so many other things to do that we decided to wait until our next trip to Atlantis.
