Amazing, practically private beach. A few people came and went while we were at the beach, but we mostly had the place to ourselves. The village along the way gives you a taste of Dominican life. We saw boys playing baseball with pvc pipe and rocks, and people coming to collect water for their homes from the river. The water was gorgeous, and we had a ton of fun playing in the waves. Loved it.

We spent a couple of days at this beach while we were staying at Dominican Tree House Village. The beach has a couple of open air restaurants that make amazing typical DR lunches. The water was warm and clear. But you need to watch the undertow. Some days it can be really dangerous. Just know to stay close to shore until you feel comfortable.

Apparently, Shakira lives close to this beach. There is a small restaurant, but did not order as we had to get back to the hotel. Wonderfully QUIET place to spend the day. Beach is between two hilltops and the views are incredible. Water is relatively calm for an Atlantic beach. The road to get there is only one-third paved - but if you do the Samana Zipline, the excursion truck will take you here.

Go here if you're in the area, it's absolutely breathtaking. I read in the forums that you shouldn't swim here to a dangerous riptide. I swam with no problems though I could definitely feel the strong current pulling me.

Its a nice beach with some restaurant, just be aware of the road as you need to cross a river too even if small one

What a fun beach! Fresh water pools to play in and a little cave. constant wave, but clear water once you get past the break. about 3 beach restaurants to choose from.

The best virgin beach I've ever visited thus far in my existence. just about a mile distance from the dominican tree house(maybe a lil more)

There are many beaches one can visit while they are on the Samana Peninsula and I got to visit several during my 12 days there. El Valle was by far my favorite.1. It is an official turtle nesting ground area and there are areas roped off where you are not allowed to go. I believe it is one of the only in the area. I appreciate that there are efforts happening here to ensure their safety. If you pick the right time of year to be here then you could see some baby turtles.2. It was the least crowded of all the beaches I went to. There were only a few other people there when I went and I was nice having such a stunningly beautiful beach for just my family and I to enjoy. There is dirt road that leads to this beach but it is not easy to get to. We stayed at the nearby Dominican Treehouse Village and road bikes to the beach which we just loved.3. The water is pretty calm, clear, and wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. If you walked down the beach (to your right facing the water) past the little freezing cold fresh water stream to the beach next to it and all the way to the end there is some great snorkeling along the rocks there. We saw some amazing schools of fish. It was so beautiful and the day we went we did not encounter a current or any issues with swimming in the water. I don't know if this is normal or not but it made it easy for everyone in our party to enjoy the snorkeling.4. There are a few different little restaurant huts you can eat lunch at. The food is good and seems reasonably priced. Our lunch was included with our stay at the Treehouse Village so I am not sure of the exact cost.I would encourage anyone who is staying in the Samana area to take a trip to El Valle beach and enjoy an amazing day in seclusion. You won't regret it.Just a side note: There is no place to rent snorkeling equipment. We brought our own from the states and are so thankful we did. Besides Playa Fronton, we used our gear the most at El Valle.

We have been in the DR for 18 months, every chance we get we explore a new beach--this is the best of all! The beauty exceeds words like superlative it is an excellent beach for swimming, not too much wave action. The beach has just the right amount of slope. The road could use some work, but then more people would come, we had only two other groups on a mile long beach

Beautiful doesn't explain it, take the ATV tour to this destination. It's like you're part of a movie.... Riding through the streets of samana and then through dirt and rocky paths .....through creeks. Next thing you know, you discover Paradise. Amazing!!!

We only spent about 1/2 hour here as part of the Samana Zipline excursion. We wished we had an extra day to head back to Playa de Valle and spend the day. There is food and drink for purchase, bathroom faclilities - awesome waves, boogie boards for rent. This place is incredible!

Stopped in Samana for the day while on the norwegian gem. We rented a tour guide and his driver for $200 for the whole day for five people in the truck ($40pp). They brought us to playa el valle during the tour and we had lunch right on the beach made a by a woman in a small shack. Fresh fish, chicken, salad, plantains and rice...delicious. $5 22oz. presidente beer. Clear water, lush, untouched mountains and plenty of shade. This is dominican republic at its most pure. There are no resorts nearby. We drove down a dirt road and through a small stream in the truck, passing very small houses made of straw and cinder blocks on our way. Everyone was very nice. Our guides name was George they call him "Manguera". He was so nice and laid back not at all pushy. He showed us around and kept us safe. You could tell everyone knew him and he said he has been doing this for 30 years. I highly recommend him.

There is a spring water right on the shore in a rock formation with sweet cold water coming out, seafood is cooked right there and they serve it where you are seated prices are great . Excellent getaway beach 9km north of Samana city on the Atlantic Ocean
