The original Casa de la Musica the Buena Vista Social Club emerged from I believe!(?). Casual, historic, traditional and always looked busy throughout the day. Probably busier in the evenings and still have locally famous acts on but also earlier in the day there is live music, groups of Cuban singers entertaining in the "son" style and locals and tourists sat tapping their feet and drinking until they can't help but get up and dance! There are some very good looking local men that can dance wonderfully and you may be mesmerised! You may be enticed to dance with them if they come up to you,(whether you can or can't!) and you will find the rhythm. Mostly all good fun when I was there but have been told sometimes you could find yourself buying more drinks than you expected and have a phone number in your pocket or may have given yours out! Is an amazing place to see some of the real Cuban music. Pop a CUC or 2 in the basket when someone comes round. They won't ask you again if you have already acknowledged them. Please go if you are there, even as a one off a the Cuban music as we know it originated from Santiago.

This was the highlight of our tour. A fabulous night of Cuban music and dancing. The locals are truly marvellous and encourage visitors to get up and have a go with helpful instruction. We enjoyed good company, good drinks and brilliant service, though the toileting arrangements would need overhauled. But, heck, you are in Cuba after all!!!

I was pretty tired when my partner dragged me in here and totally wanted to go home. I'm so glad she dragged me in. Entrance was reasonable considering it included some drinks, and the music was just so good. The band we saw had just been nominated for a Latin Grammy award and did not disappoint. Complex tunes delivered with style, and great in-house dancers added to the atmosphere. Would return.

Less touristy than Casa de Trova and harder, faster Timba and funk/reaggeaton rather then the mor traditional Son. Where told we where lucky because the band were one of Cubas most famous and inventive playing that night. Made for a great night out, we had a wonderful experience, the best during our 2 weeks travelling all over Cuba. Friendly people and very patient with our mediocre salsa-skills. We danced all night. Just smiles all around and no problems/pushiness despite us being three females on our own. Highly recommended!

This place, located on Calle Mariano corona, no. 564, just one block to the west of Parque Cespedes (at Aguilera) , is definitely one of the top nightlife spots frequented by the “with it” crowd of Santiagueros. It features a mixture of live and taped music, with salsa and reggaeton. The Boisterous crowds. This is a good place for the adventurous nightlife seekers if you are in a group. Watch out for pock pockets.

Sitio atractivo para escuchar y bailar música tradicional cubana en vivo además de tomar mojitos o cerveza, con suerte y pueden ver un show de baile. El local no es muy amplio, cuenta con una terraza para fumar o bailar. Es posible ver a cubanos cazando a turistas o turistas cazando cubanos, es parte del folclor. La ubicación del local es perfecta, a unos cuantos metros del hotel Casagranda y del parque Céspedes. Hay que pagar 5 CUC de cover.

Die Stadt der Musik Kubas und besonders des son biete hier und in der casa dela trova beste Einblicke in die Musikgruppen und das Rhytmusgefühl der Bewohner Santiagos.Erlebenswert am Nachmittag und abends. Hingehen! Wiederkommen!

Нормальное место с живой музыкой. Вход 3 cuc. Зал небольшой и поэтому часто заполнен под завязку. Выручает балкон, на котором не так душно, даже стулья стоят. Под балконом на улице танцуют кубинцы, у которых нет возможности пройти внутрь. Много хинетерос, обучающих своих иностранных подружек азам сальсы. Бармен в вечной "маньяне". Коктейли лучше не заказывать. Устанете ждать. В общем неплохо, тем более что в ближайшей округе альтернативы нет.

Un luogo magico dove si puo vivere l'atmosfera unica di cuba e condividere con la gente del posto dei momenti indimenticabili e unici. Ci si rende conto quanto è importante vivere la vita in modo umile. Da non perdere.

Pasar una tarde en la casa de la musica en santigo fue la mejor de todo el viaje! Vimos grupos tocando en vivo esa musica tan hermosa q tienen los cubanos, tomando mojitos en unas pequeñas mesitas, mucha buena onda y animo general.Se puede charlar con los lugareños y empaparte un poco con su cultura.Mas tarde pudimos bailar salsa, la gente te invitaba a bailar y a los que no sabian les enseñaban algnos pasos,.. para mi fue un lugar genial, al que sin duda volveria!!

Die Casa de la Musica in Santiago ist sehr empfehlenswert. Es gibt abends kubanische Livemusik, manchmal traditionell, manchmal modern, und jeder kann tanzen, muss man aber nicht. Man kann auch entspannt die Musik und die Kaltgetränke genießen! Zunächst geht es meist mit Salsa los, später wird dann eher Rumba gespielt.Das Casa de la Musica liegt zentral in Santiago und kann gut zu Fuß erreicht werden. Es wird von Kubanern und manchmal auch Touristen frequentiert.Sehr empfehlenswert!
