Travel to the north would not be complete without stopping by Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, especially to Roman Catholic devotees. This church is one of the Marian Pilgrimage sites in the Philippines so expect a huge crowd of Marian devotees daily whole year round. Weekday masses starts as early at 5AM up to 3PM in the afternoon and up to 5PM on weekends. Inside the church compound is a museum as well a rosary garden where one can sit on the benches to pray or meditate. There's an allotted space for vehicle blessing at the back of the church and every after mass the priest would bless the long stretch of parked vehicles. All of these are free but make sure to share your blessings by giving donations.Outside the church gates were a lot of vendors of religious items such as statues, rosaries, bibles and even blessed oils for aches and pains. And there's also a bunch of them selling yummy local delicacies and some beautifully made handicrafts.

Yesterday this church was made a basilica and as usual was a great service (today being Ash Wednesday). Worthy of a visit and be sure to take the time to walk in from the front (car park and entry for most people is from the rear). Also walk through the gardens (stations of the cross) so peaceful.

Where all your wishes come true. This church is known to answer prayers and petitions through the intercession of our blessed Lady. Miraculously granting even the toughest requests for those who have even the tiniest faith. But to those who truly believe, no matter where you are, if it's God's will, He will grant it. Going here is a breeze. The roads are paved and smooth. The directions and signs are easy to understand and follow. It's a long road ahead but the views are relaxing and devoid of the urban vibe. This is located at Milo Street, Manaoag, Pangasinan. From TPLEX, we went out of Urdaneta Exit (I think this is the last exit in TPLEX)Then we passed by Urdaneta City, Pozorrubio, Binalonan then Manaoag. The church which was recently elevated to Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag was also honoured by the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome with a special bond of spiritual affinity in perpetuity, the first and the only church in the Philippines to have been giventhe title 'affiliate' of one of the papal basilicas.The church is old but recently painted. You can buy relics and other religious items in the area surrounding the church and have it blessed by the priest every after mass. This place is special to me and Mr. Santiago. We have always been blessed by our Lady and we were happy that we were able to share it with our son. I hope he creates his own special memories here.

We usually make time to go to the Manaoag Church every year whenever visiting Philippines. We went on a Sunday and we were lucky to get seats 10 minutes before the mass,there are masses every hour on Sundays. Such a beautiful church inside especially,I am always awed whenever visiting. Roads leading to the church are smooth and paved, parking areas however could do a little more improvement,there are these sellers that lead you to a space expecting that you buy their goods in return. In front of the church lies a sprawl of stalls selling rosaries, candles, statues etc. bought one myself. A very peaceful and solemn place.

Im not a practicing christian/catholic but I still loved the journey around. The church itself left me in awe with all the exhibits, almost need a couple visits to really take it all in. Best part was lunch in the river, fantastic feeling :)

I cannot resist whenever I am invited to visit the shrine. Known for its calling and answered prayers through the intercession of Mama Mary. A peaceful shrine to surrender to God all tribulations in life.

For write-up for the Basilica de Nuestra Senora de manaoag, I heard mass Nov, 2, 2014 to see the transformation fromchurch to cathedral. Actually, i haven;t seen tarpaulins, signages or announcements yet as to when will be the celebration for the declaration of the curch as "basilica" but my informant says that the big celebration will be on Feb 2015. Preparations are being ironed out but not yet divulged.Again , I visited the church museum but in this article allow me to call it "basilica museum". I noticed no new items added in the museum. One thing I noticed is that the "town map" which indicates the street names as Calle Rizal, Calle Porvenir, Calle Sacristan and Calle Soriano. If the writer intends to base the names from the old Manaoag then Calle Soriano should be Calle Municipal. Please review your history. The street at the back of the church is Calle Sacristia and not Calle Sacristan. I've written a handwritten note then when I visited the shrine and submitted to the lady museum employee (which I think is my relative on the maternal side but she don't know me and I don't have the intention to introduce myself but was not corrected yet. Holy water. For the first time, I draw holy water from the area. Read instructions before getting holy water.

It was a wonderful experience visiting this place. Sometimes we really need to go to a place to search our own faith wherein you will feel much closer to God. And I felt it here. Masses are held everyday in every hour, a huge crowd go everyday to pray and be blessed.And I was blessed.

Our family goes to Manaoag every month. It was a devotion of my late father and mother so I continued the devotion. I have seen the development of roads going to Manaoag for years and it's great that the government has made it easy for tourists and devotees to travel to manaoag. The only way to Manaoag from Manila is by land. There are public buses and vans that go straight or non-stop to Manaoag. Just do a little research on travel and tours going to Manaoag. On the way there, you will see how the rural philippine life is. Rice paddies are abound as well as small enterprising locals selling mangoes and native delicacies.

Many people go to this Very popular shrine in Pangasinan to offer petitions and for thanksgiving for answered prayers. The area for candle offering at the back of the church is wide and different kinds of candles are sold. Religious items are sold in the second floor of the church. Mass is every hour in the morning during weekdays; anticipated mass on Saturdays is at 4:30pm; there are two afternoon masses on Sundays (5:00pm and 6:00pm). Ventilation has improved with the installation of big ceiling fan. Blessing of religious items and the sick is done every after mass. Blessing of new vehicles is likewise done at the back of the church every after mass. There is a wide parking space and several restrooms are clean and well maintained. For out of town churchgoers, you can bring your food, there are several sheds where you can eat, if not there are two canteens inside the church compound. My advice is- if you want to pray solemnly, go to this shrine on weekdays wherein there are lesser churchgoers than on Sundays and first Saturday of the month.

Everyone really wanted to visit the miraculous church of Manaoag so do I. Upon arrival in Manaoag my friend and I decided to rest for few hours in a hotel near on the area as we arrived early morning. In the main entrance of the church we noticed a lot of vendors selling different types of religious items and local delicacies. We attended the mass and offered prayers for our personal intentions and lighted a candle.

Every Filipino Catholic's desire is to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Manaoag for various religious reasons. The Shrine has expanded a lot of times and still it cannot accommodate the influx of its devotees. It isn't a park or a resort so don't expect merry-making or a robust of activities. There is a market outside where you can buy religious and food items.This is a shrine for devotees to be with God and definitely not for Instagram or Selfies.

We passed by this church on our trip to North Luzon and we arrived late afternoon. Upon arrival, i noticed a lot of stores and vendors just before the entrance to the church, offering religious items and local delicacies. Good thing that the vendors offerred their products but they don't persist if you tell them that you are not buying. The church is huge from the outside. The inside of the church is spacious. The interior seemed dark when we were there or it maybe because it was already late afternoon. We didn't get to see The Lady of the Rosary up close because there was activity at the time wherein several priests were there close to the altar. There was no mass and there were only a few churchgoers so the place looked solemn and holy. We plan to go back soonand see The Lady up close.

Been visiting this church from time to time. The surrounding change a lot. More parkings, vendors everywhere but it's been my belief and faith in this church that made me come always.
