When we first went to Ilocos Norte we failed to visit kapurpurawan due to time constraint, so when we are given the second time to go to Ilocos we really did visit this attraction. The hike going to this majestic rock formation is definitely worth it because when we got near the rock formation it got us speechless. Very good for picture taking.

Definitely worth a stop to take some pictures, it's picturesque and the ocean background with the rock formation is beautiful.

My family took the PAL flight to Laoag and the Mabuhay magazine had the cover of this place. We were all excited to see this for real! We were not disappointed at all. The only thing I find "strange" or out of place was the sculptures by artists going to that place. Natural beauty must be left alone and human sculptures be placed in museums.

Never been thought that this was an island before. But before going into this place you'll need a tour guide, and a little patience because it was really a long long walk. But all the struggles had been vanished because the view is superb and the gigantic rock formation is pretty stunning.!

Definitely a must-see in the region. We were actually going to Bangui Windmills when we saw a lot of new windmills on top of the mountain and discover the way to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. The place is truly breathtaking.I don't suggest riding the horses. Walk through the path and enjoy the scene.

Can't get enough of the view; One, two, three CLICK! Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is amazing, it is a great view for taking pictures. This is one of the tourist attraction in the Ilocos Region. You can ride horses to get to the rock formation for a reasonable price; it is a great experience! The people who will help you in the place (act as a tour guide in the place) are kind and very accommodating. To sum up, Kapurpurawan Rock rocks! ;)

The road from the highway to the seaside is now cemented! It was not like this 4 years ago. There is an entrance fee. Windmills have been built along the road, making it a good spot for photos. At the bottom of the viewing deck, there are horses for hire to bring you to and from the limestone formation. It's really a good spot for photos. It can get very windy and cold, so it's best to bring a windbreaker or light jacket when you visit this site. There's also a small store where you can buy snacks.

Natural limestone rocks carved by the wind and waves. Looking inland, one can see the base of the sierra madre mountains. Among these are newly built windmills, offering a surreal view. The minimal entry fee is worth it as one can visit the rock formation as well as see the windmills up close.Great place for photos.

Enjoyed going around the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Nice backdrop for pictures. Around the rock formation, you'll also find the new windmills. So if you don't want to go to the Bangui windmills, you can just visit this area. The windmills here look the same as the ones in Bangui anyway.

As expected our guests had this "success" feeling after riding on a horse going to this site. Whenever we're personally touring guests here at Ilocos (or even our guide/s). We make sure offering them horse riding. It ranges from Php70-100 round trip. Pretty nice experience espc our guests who have their kids.TIPTry their empanada but ensure buying early.Be sure you have a nice standing foundation when taking pictures espc during "Amihan"Be sure to buy or use you filter lens to avoid sand scratches on your main lens. Always use your cap lens as well either when stand by or off cam.If you want more time at the rock formation, avoid horse riding.

Recently, the Ayala Corporation has built 50 new windmills around the area. So, not only do you get to take pictures of the rock formation, you can also bask in the glory of these gigantic windmills in rows. Perfect place to take photo shoots. My sister even said one of her shots of the place looked like it was from New Zealand.

the majestic rock formation was definitely a beauty. I never thought we could have this kind of attraction here in Philippines. the big splashy waves were surreal and the shallow area nearby makes you want to take a dip because of the crystal blue water. defintely, must visit.

Just another attraction to take beautiful photos of the limestone formations. Known for its white and streamlined limestone formations, which have been sculpted by different oceanic and weather forces.Refreshments and snacks can be bought at the entrance but please don't throw your trash/es just anywhere in the place.Souvenirs are available at the entrance place as well. Horse-back riding PHP150/U$4. Sometimes there's a wandering photographer if you'd spot him and would like to have a memento of the place

Prepare you P20 for an entrance fee and if your a student, i advice you bring your school ID to avail a student rate of P10.The Kapurpurawan Rock Formation has a breathtaking view. But before you can mesmerize with it, you have to walk down the narrow trail from the muddy parking area to the site. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes or slippers because it's a 15 minute rough walk. I advice also to be extra careful during rainy season because the soil can get damp and slippery. On a hot day, bringing am umbrella, a cap or sun block is also advice because of the heat of the sun is pretty intense.Do not just take photos. Take a few moment to feel the wonder of nature. Use your entire senses to appreciate its beauty. Hear the strong splashes of wave. smell the humid breeze and see the clear blue water kisses the majestic cream rock formation that lords over the entire peninsula. To get the total experience. i suggest, you try to ride the horse. My kid loves it. For only P100 back and forth or P50 one way, it's a total experience being a cowboy in a beach. Not only that, the small amount will also help locals.

A simple winding path, rugged terrain all around, windmills peeking over ridges and an alabaster rock formation jutting out near the water line.Visiting this place bring on a tranquil and peaceful feeling.Just Php20 for adults and Php10 for students will bring you to the starting point of the trail. I don't suggest riding the horses, it'll just add a distraction. Opt to walk the few hundred meters towards the view point and enjoy the flora of the natural landscape.Windmills have been introduced here starting 2014 and have added a certain kind of charm to the overall landscape. I kinda felt that I was on another planet, like one of those far flung provincial worlds from those scifi novels.Walk, take deep breaths, soak up a bit of sun, listen to the sound of the wind and the waves.Enjoy.
