Very humbling experience and very peaceful. The location is very easy to find and can be seen from most higher floors of the local hotels.

It is only recently that I am able to give US Memorial Cemetery a vote of Excellent. Until about a year ago, the US government provided NO support to the cemetery. The care of the cemetery had been totally handled by VFW post, but has recently been approved for federal funding. A few local residents and the GGLC head by retired US Navy officer Dennis Wright, were instrumental in constructin fences and other improvements. The battered flags, and entrance gates now provide a better initial vision as one enters. A stroll will reveal both Americans and Filippinos that have been buried there. It is interesting to note the burial dates of many of the headstones.

I was there November 11, 2013, 11am for Veteran's Day ceremony. Wonderful service acknowledging our Veterans and VFW Post 2485 for maintaining the cemetery without any USA funds. Congress has approved funding and Clark Cemetery is awaiting Secretary John Kerry's signature.

Clark Field Memorial Cemetery is where American veterans living in the area are usually buried when they die. It is located on the huge Air Base that used to be the home of the largest American military base overseas. Mt. Pinatubo erupted in June 1991 causing severe damage to the base and was closed. It hit veterans such as myself very hard because we assumed that the base would always be here providing military retires with a hospital, commissary, base exchange, and other services to make our retirement years easier. The Veterans of Foreign Wars local chapter oversees the burials for American veterans buried here. I have attended many services here for friends and fellow members of the VFW. It is a low key service, nothing special.

This place can be seen as you ride your taxi from the airport to the hotel.Nothing much to see or do unless ofcourse you know someone there or just want to pay your repects. No history lessons to learn in here

Tremendous amount of history can be found throughout this cemetery. Many grave markers that date as far back as the Spanish-American War in 1896. Graves also include veterans and dependents from WW1 and WW2. Monuments to the Unknown Soldier and Bataan Death March are found on this site. There are no tourist facilities but SM Clark Mall is a very short drive to the east. Spectacular views of Mt. Arayat and the surrounding landscape.

Кладбище находится почти в центре, сильно напоминает мемориальное кладбище в Вашинтоне. Белый заборчик, ухоженный газон, вместе с тем, ворота на кладбище закрыты и вы сможете посмотреть на него только из-за ограды.
