小樽市博物馆

是个博物馆，更是个商店，琳琅满目摆满了各式各样的八音盒，小樽的八音盒也是城市名片之一，非常有北海道风味，每一件都想入手啊，最后买了猫头鹰和挂铃的八音盒，声音清脆动听，非常好听。

The price of the ticket allows for entry to 2 museums, one near to the Otaru canal and one further down the road that is focuses on Trains.Interesting to learn about the history of Otaru being the Wall Street of Hokkaido and also the scale of commercial fishing.I especially enjoyed the train museum as it traces the history of railway in Hokkaido and the impact of this transportation in developing the island.There's also a very well maintained train hundreds of year old right in the middle of the entrance.Do not miss the outdoor exhibits as the various generations of trains are on display as well.

We were disappointed with the Otaru Canal and found it was over-rated. Nothing spectacular about it. We passed it at 8pm and it was dark and not lighted up.

interesting museum for those interest in Hokkaido. even though everything was in Japanese and my wife was not in the mood to explain the kanji i could not read the people working there were helpful in explaining. worth a visit if you have time to kill in Otaru.

This is a nice small historical museum of the history of Otaru. The museum features many displays representing the early fishing and financial centers of Otaru. Everything is written in Japanese, so it helps to know some, but for the most part the displays are self explanatory.

アクセスは非常に悪いです。しかしその展示物の充実ぶりは北海道にしては優れています。本土の鉄道博物館などと比べてはいけません、懐事情が違いすぎます。それはさておき屋外展示の鉄道車両は北の大地を走った名車両ばかり。少年時代に心ときめかせた懐かしの名車達がズラリ。鉄道ファンであれば飽きることなく眺めていられます。

２月に行ったので屋外展示の電車や施設などなど全く見れませんでした。輪転台や格納庫など興味深いものがたくさんあるようなので雪がなくなったらリベンジしたいです。

シーズンオフのため、歩いて博物館へ。遠いですが、てづどうに関する資料が多かったです。鉄道に関心のない人はあまりこないほうが良いと思います。

館内や屋外に保存されている貴重な車両は見る価値が高い。市街地から若干離れているが，旧手宮線跡を辿りながら行くのもまたよい。

電車ずきな子供は楽しめます。トマホーク号という蒸気機関車も乗れて子供の遊び場です。この横に、トレノという電車を改装したレストランもあるので合わせて楽しんではいかがでしょうか？ちなみにトレノは喫煙可です。

アメリカから輸入されたＳＬに乗ったあと、操車場に戻り、回転して帰って行きます。結構な迫力です。４００円+１００円で運河館も見れます。翌日に持ち越す事もできます。除雪車（列車）が３～４台あります。こどもは除雪車にくぎ付けでした。本でしか見た事がなかったので。９月２０日、薄いブラウスでＯＫ，日が暮れると蚊がいました。

9月24日(水）に行きました。事前に火曜日定休と確認していましたのに23日の振替でお休みでした。ゆっくりと見て回りたかったのですが25日の午前中のみの見学となってしまいました。これから行かれる方は定休日以外でも問い合わせをしてスケジュールを組まれる事をおすすめします。

小樽市「総合」博物館なのですが、展示のメインは鉄道です。SL「アイアンホース号」の動態展示があり、運行に合わせてゆくと良いかもしれません。小樽運河の北運河まで歩いてその先にありますが、駅からだとちょっと遠いかもしれません。

館内外には貴重な車両・鉄道資料があり、手の込んだ館内の鉄道資料説明には好感が持てる。大変良かったと思います。

小樽駅からは少し距離がありますが、野菜・魚市場や道路沿いのレトロな建物を眺めながら歩くと、40分ほどで着きました。小樽は北海道の鉄道発祥の地とのことで、ここは鉄道に関する展示がとても充実しています。特に、屋外にあるSLや古い列車は、多少痛みが目立つもののその数の多さには圧倒されました。展示物を眺めながら懐かしい思いに浸ることができました。
