Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ages 13, 10, and 6) did this tour at the end of our 3 week trip to Nicaragua. It was awesome! First, as a parent, let me tell you about the safety. I was nervous about taking my kids (and myself!) on this tour but I felt 100% safe the entire time - even though I'm not crazy about heights. The whole course was explained with a map and then we got our harnesses, helmets and gloves on. Everything was checked and double-checked. We got good instructions. Every zip has two cables that you are hooked onto. You are *always* hooked to something at any given moment. The attention to detail safety-wise was apparent everywhere you looked. You have two guides with you: one in front and one behind. Our youngest is not the bravest soul so he rode in tandem with one of the guides which he *loved.* I wasn't sure he'd be brave enough to handle this activity but the guides were so warm and funny and confident that they helped him feel comfortable. OK, now that the safety stuff is out of the way, let me tell you how much FUN this is! You can control your speed by using your gloved hand on the zip line as a brake. So, you can go as fast or slow as you feel comfortable going. The course is in a gorgeous highland pine forest. And zipping along these lines was just so much fun. On the last zip, you get to go upside down all the way down to the ground. What a rush! The staff here are amazing. I really can't say enough about them. We were lucky enough to bump into the owner of the Tour when we were checking into our hotel in town. So, he offered to give us a ride out there- saving us cab fare. The young men who took us on the tour were attentive, knowledgeable, funny, (and gorgeous!) I highly recommend this tour!

We've never zip lined and were a little apprehensive but thanks to Carlos and Lester we had an amazing experience. They were helpful and fun and ensured that we not only were safe but that we had an unforgettable experience. The scenery was amazing!

My friend and I went in mid-January and really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and funny especially Brad and Gabriel. If you speak Spanish, it's better cause the English abilities were a bit limited. There was a safety demo in the beginning, you're always clipped in and have two guides with you throughout the course. It's not as high and you don't go as fast as other zip-lining places, but it was still an adrenaline rush. We really enjoyed our experience and the staff was really helpful in arranging our transport back to our hotel, calling and negotiating with the taxi driver for us even though it was after closing time. Definitely worth the money and travel time out there!

So happy to have finally tried out this attraction! We havae done canopy tours in other parts of Nicaragua and Costa Rica. This was top-notch! Well maintained grounds, professional and safety minded staff! I definitely recommend this! Beautiful and different área of Nicaragua!

I have visited the Canopy Tour La Brellera 4 times. I have taken my two kids, and recently I visited with 3 friends. I love it! My friends were impressed too. The staff is cordial, the owner is bilingual. The view of the pristine hills is spectacular. A must do when visiting Nicaragua.I recommend a pair of walking shoes; there is a short trip back (on foot) to the starting point. There is a cooler with water and beer available for purchase at the end of the 1 hour adventure.

The staff was very friendly. I felt like my kids were safe. There were 2 cables for every part of the canopy tour. One guide went first and another stayed on the platform my kids were leaving, so there was always a guide in front of them and a guide behind them.

Now to start with, I'm afraid of heights! Can't look down a balcony, but I have two thrill seeking children and a husband who encourages them, so I have to survive it. My role is to find places where they can get their thrills in a safe environment. La Bellera is one of those places. Francisco offers an amazing experience that even from the grounds gets the blood pumping. The last time we went my children hung upside down! Still not sure I'm over that one. They loved it and have raved about it to all their friends. I love having a place I can trust my children's life to and they will remember it forever.

I had seen the signs for this attraction in Matagalpa. I made the trip to San Rafael del Norte and found the place on the road to Yali. The zipline is a single cable zipline some others that I have visited have been a double cable system. The guides only speak spanish and the zipline is in a pine forest. The price was fair and I did enjoy myself.
