My two girlfriends and I had been traveling around Central America, and upon hearing great things about Nicaragua, we decided to stay a few days in Granada before going to Leon. Bite Nicaragua was an easy way to taste cuisine at restaurants which all three of us could agree on to return. Bonus: we returned to the chocolate factory to do a chocolate MAKING (yes, making from the bean to the actual chocolate bar) class and the hammock cafe where we bought some colorful hammocks! (PS-the coffee is top notch at Cafe sonrisas, too.)

After you check out Mombacho the lake and the Cathedral de Granada, take this tour! You'll be hungry by then, anyway! The timing of the tour is a little odd (it starts at 3pm on Thursdays and Saturdays), but consider it a late lunch, as you'll be pretty full by the end. We sampled chocolates, wine, tacos, potato "balls" that were OUTSTANDING, grilled fish, and some veggie dish common to Nicaragua. I highly recommend Bite Nicaragua as a way to fill your afternoon and belly while in Granada!

I've done a number of food tours, mostly in the states, and this tour was my first in Central America. (Not sure if others actually exist down here.) Bite Nicaragua does a GREAT job, and I would recommend this tour for anyone coming to Granada. The tour is more of a "two for one" offering: you get a whole history about Granada from the guide (ours was Rodolfo), AND a full meal's worth when said and done with all the restaurant stops. Note-they only (for the time being) offer tours Thursday and Saturday, so email the company ahead of time for scheduling. Thanks in advance, Aaron! :D

Outstanding tour! Not only was our tour guide funny and delightful, but I left the tour feeling stuffed! DO NOT EAT before doing this tour! The Bite Nicaragua tour stops at five restaurants (all quite different, so expect a variety) and each offers a nice array of "bites." A sample is NOT offered in the market, but I still enjoyed listening and seeing the locals' scene up close, as I had yet visited it on my 5 day trip down here from Costa Rica. Also-make sure you wear shoes you can walk in. I would say we covered more than a mile on foot, but you get to sit at every restaurant. Thanks, Bite Nicaragua, for a GREAT introduction to Granada!

We heard of this tour from our quaint hotel, and I'm so glad we did a Bite Nicaragua tour! I booked the tickets online for myself and three college buddies. In addition to doing the standard "volcano" and San Juan surf tours, Bite Nicaragua is a good tour to add to your list of Granada "Things to do." Lots of food, lots of history, a good serving of jokes, and a good group in general made our tour a blast. Highly recommend!

Regardless if you live in Granada or just visiting, this is a fun tour to take with friends and family. You can experience different restaurants in one day without breaking the bank. The informative walk to and from the restaurants will give you a bit of history about Granada and all the staff in the restaurants are welcoming. I would definitely do this again with my visitors.

I first found Bite in San Diego, because I took an awesome food tour there with a few friends. When my husband and I decided to go to Nicaragua I started researching cool thing's to do on our trip. When I stumbled upon another bite tour in Nicaragua I was so excited! I immediately signed us up. The tour was awesome! Everything I wanted and more. If you are travelling to Nicaragua, I would definitely advise you to do this activity!!!

This is the only tour I found in Granada that incorporated food and history. A devoted "foodie" always on a mission to discover the local's gem restaurants, Bite Nicaragua offered a short cut to Granada's best kept restaurants. I was only in town for the weekend, and Bite Nicaragua's three hour tour was an ideal amount of time to visit the five restaurants. I returned to my favorite, Ciudad Lounge, the next day. Never would have found it on my own. My second best was Cafe de Sonrisas for the experience, the food was good too. This also where people who are blind and deaf make hammocks, some from reclaimed plastic bags. What a story. This is where tours really pay off finding stuff like this that I would need to know a local to find otherwise.

Do you like to eat? Do you like to walk? Do you like stories and factoids? And probably most importantly - do you love chocolate? Then check all the boxes because Bite Nicaragua delivers all three of delectable treats! Booking tours is super easy through the website, and we met Byron, our guide, at the first restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. In three short hours (flew by because we had such a blast), we wandered around Granada, stopped at places like the chocolate factory, ChocoMuseo! Heaven! I'm from the USA, and Bite Nicaragua does tours in America, too, so I'll be checking them out, for certain.

This is by far the coolest tour I have ever been on! I have never thought of touring an area by eating at local restaurants, but this was way more than that. You get a local guide who is very knowledgeable of the local history, little known facts, and of the area itself. On top of that you get to eat at some of the best spots in Granada! We sampled freshly made wine, locally grown chocolate, delicious tapas, toured the local market, and even went to a hammock making shop! I would advise anyone who visits Granada to give this tour a try. You will NOT be disappointed.
