This tour is a lot of fun and very challenging. The waterfalls and canyon are worth the visit. Jumping into pools and rappelling down the waterfalls is a real blast. This tour does require some physical strength and courage. That is what really makes this tour an amazing experience. The guides know what they are doing and keep everything safe and fun. If you like a bit of adrenaline and doing something different this a tour not to be missed

Don’t leave Costa Rica without spending a day in the rainforest with Costa Canyoning. This tour exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our trip! Our guides, Scotti and Barney, are great guys who love what they do and are passionate about sharing it. They are extremely knowledgeable, give solid instruction and put your safety first. The canyon is remote and pristine, repelling through waterfalls left our hearts pounding and the experience will never be forgotten. Thanks again guys, I hope we can make it back someday!!

Last week we tried Costa Canyoning. The guides were not only experts but great fun and very helpful for our first rappelling experience. They guided my wife and I through all the steps and made it easy, safe and fun, even for someone afraid of heights as I am. The scenery was beautiful and the guides also pointed out many interesting facts about the plants, birds and local animals. I highly recommend this experience.Anthony TacomaToronto, Canada

I went last December to the great Costa Canyoning and was so greatly surprised by the amazing experience. I was as well surprised by the guides comments that not to many nationals goes on this tour. The ride was thrilling from the beginning: hop on the back of a truck, go in between the mytical bamboo forest, up the mountain in a tiny trail and suddenly in the middle of "nowhere" hop down and adventure starts. Quick beginners training on canoying technique and of you go down the first waterfall! Awesome. 6 waterfalls in total, great and fun guys and an unique experience that you just don't expect. I would share photos, but that is where 2 of the stars drop from the sky.Few days after the adventure I contact the administrator to follow up on the phots (which are taken by the guides and included on tne price) and told to pick up the CD at base camp. Suprise when I get there a few days after and no CD. Text again admin and told I will get the by mail. Fail again. New text and told ohone drop by accident on the lagoon but will def get my pics in a few days and now a 50% discount for next time.... fail agin. 2 more times 2 more fails. Such a pitty that such a great tour was diminish by thos bad post service. I can understand if for some reason pics got lost but don't have your clients back and forward saying yih will do it and fail to do it so many times... got the feeling that I got national trearment as if as Costa Rican is not that important to have us happy like foreigners.Well.... could recommend but deff hesitate to fully recoomend as I feel a bit made fun of. But if you get your GO pro and take your own pics def go for it!!

Guides took us down 100 foot heavy flowing waterfalls in the jungle. I am afraid of heights but they gave me the confidence to do it. Super rewarding.

Wonderful experience! I was nervous the whole time, but it was so much fun! We had a great time. The guides are awesome and the photos they took turned out really well. Definitely recommend it for somewhat-athletic types.

Had fun rappelling down 5 waterfalls with Costa Canyoning. My husband and I are in are early 50's and had to be careful walking on the rocks, very slippery. My son and daughter had no problems. I think as we get older our sense of balance decreases and the reason we were a little slower moving around. We did have bruises around our waist as the belt was tight to keep us safe. Safety is first and they were very aware of where we were standing while waiting to rappel as well as when we were rappelling. They also took pictures with our Go pro and had a camera of their own. They have not yet posted the pictures to Facebook, so I will need to followup with them. Had a nice snack afterwards of chips and salsa, black beans and fruit along with a beer or smoothie. Recommend doing this activity while in Costa Rica!

Loved the tour, loved the guides, loved the feeling we all felt after taking control of our fears and making it down the last waterfall!!

We (three 22 year-olds and two 55 year-olds) took this adventure because it sounded like a great idea. The 22's were in pretty good shape. The female 55 year old had been doing exercise classes so she had solid stamina and wasn't overweight. The 55 year old male was overweight mostly in the (beer) belly, and didn't work out much. None of us had ever done rappelling before. We all decided to do it, and we're all glad we did. The guides were incredibly friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel accommodated from the get-go even when we couldn't get our payment figured out. We climbed into the back of a truck and rode to the first waterfall. This ride has been described on tripadvisor as "Bone-rattling" and it definitely was not. We did stand for the short (15-20 minutes) ride, but I was never holding on for dear life, and the guides would call out ahead of time if there was a vine hanging in our general direction. They were very professional and fun, and their number one concern was safety. Our trip was cut short because it was going to rain after we finished the first three waterfalls and they didn't want to risk flash-flooding, so we skipped the two small ones and went to the last one. To get to the last one, we took a hike through the jungle in the rain and it was an incredible experience, as you would reach the top of a crest and see the rainforest surrounding you. The most difficult part of the trip was moving from waterfall to waterfall, as you were constantly navigating wet rocks which could be very slippery. This trip is for everyone of all body types, as long as you can fit in the harness. After the waterfalls and short swimming trip, we went back to the base camp, where there were plates of fresh fruit, chips and salsa, and beer/smoothies waiting for us. I cannot stress how welcoming the guides were, and they never made us feel incompetent. Also, they take FABULOUS photos that are included with the cost of the trip! Total time will differ from ours since ours was shortened for our safety, so plan for at least four hours. Even the 55 year-old male wished we could do more.
