Nice array of choices at buffet. Sorry they are closing the park. We had rice and beans, fruit and some wonderful natural fruit drink. The servers were very friendly.

It is not the same as seeing a national park, but you can begin here. There are some animals, costumed Ticas in bright dresses, informative slide shows, and a small café.

For adult foreigners the cost is $25 usd and students $19 usd. Not much to see. Other than a good amount of butterflies there isn't anything else. The park must probable had better days but today it is poorly maintained. ZooAve is much better experience for much less money. Sorry, just not a good experience, AND EXPENSIVE

It was really fun to go here and we were really excited to visit her as we had just landed in San Jose and were ready to see the different biomes in Costa Rica. You could compare this place to a zoo in the United States. However, you are actually in the exhibits and the animals can like walk up to you and you can see them. There were lots of interactive things for the kids to play on and explore. However, we did not see that many animals and the park is not in very good condition. Overall, if you are in Costa Rica for only a short time it is definitley worth a visit, but If you are exploring the entire country it is better to just see the biomes themselves for real. The tour guides on the other hand were very nice and informative.

Butterfly garden, rainforest path, expansive park grounds, indigenous animals!! What`s not to like for a day out with the kids!! And they learn something as well!!!

I came here with another group, saw and learned many things that made me appreciate my time in Costa Rica- mainly bc of my guide. The other group was led around by someone else and didn't get as much out of it. Expect this being only a man-created representation of the ecosystems.

It was fun traveling there with friends' kids. There were special places for kids to play on ropes and sit on giant frog sculptures. We didn't see many animals at all. The only ones we saw were the farm animals in pens. They did have a cute area where you could hold rabbits and pet some of the farm animals. And the butterfly garden was really nice. There were a lot of really beautiful butterflies in there.

We enjoyed seeing all the Biodiversity of Costa Rica in one park. It's well maintained and if you take a tour with a guide, you'll learn lots. There is a nice soda eating spot. Kids loved the butterfly conservatory. While we were there a funny guy looks through the park for where sloths are seen and then tells the guide.

This is a natural preserve designed to educate locals and visitors about the Biodiversity in Costa Rica. They did, in fact, do that, as our tour guide was very well spoken and knowledgeable. There was a "pond" area that had crocodiles and water fowl, and there were indoor areas that had specimens of animals, such as the various snakes, that are found in the area. The highlight of this park was the amazing butterfly garden though, which had a variety of beautiful, colorful butterflies, some of which landed on us! My group of teens was quite mesmerized by this area. There were also a variety of birds, such as the Blue Crested Marmot, that were easy to see. I suppose this was a good "introduction" to the flora and fauna of Costa Rica, but considering there are so many natural, wild trails and areas to walk through, this seemed a bit contrived. It was more like visiting a "zoo" than actually being out in the wilds of Costa Rica.

The parc is a lovely place in terms of nature, plant and animals, but we have been a bit disappointed by a few displays, such as the "volcano" part that lacks explanations and looks out-dated. Considering the high entry price, they could renovate the place a little bit.

It's a nice experience... There is a plenty parking lot, you can feed farm animals, and more. it's funny... :-) Food is really good too! :)

Was worth the time and money. Learned much about the country. Nicely laid out though a few more benches would be nice. Great for kids.

We had purchased a package which included the tour, entry, lunch, and transportation. We took the guided tour of the park with Natalie, who did a wonderful job. Lunch was good, local food. Dessert and soda were extra. Our transportation was a taxi which the park had arranged. I will say that in planning our entire trip to Costa Rica, I had more emails from this park than anywhere else. Every time there was more information that they needed for our reservation. At one point I considered cancelling, but am very glad that I didn't.

make sure you make a reservation to tour with a guide. the restaurant is very good quality of local food. pay $3 extra and see the snakes of the country. Great place.

Nice place to visit if you are in San Jose or nearby. Attractions are few but enough to entertain you for about 2-3 hours. You must be a Nature-lover to enjoy this place. Better hire a guide if you want to really discover what inBio Parque has to offer. All services available. Restaurant is fairly good. Keep in mind that this is a scientific facility that affords their studies with the tickets and some donations. It´s not an amusement park.
