Each time I visit Belize, this is my first and last place to stay. They have a shuttle to and from the airport. So one can get acclimatized the Country and wind down before the flight home without the hassle of Belize City. The food is great, some from their own garden. A quiet jungle like retreat with an great introduction to Belizean fauna and flora. But if you stay longer, you can arrange tours anywhere. An added treat maybe Jason's superb rock and mineral collection. Christine is avery personable and gracious host. You won't be disappointed.

This is a well-run resort that caters to groups and tours but if you book via their website you can get a room with breakfast and dinner without a tour as well. It's close to the Belize Zoo and situated on the Western Highway making it easy to catch a bus to many sights. The staff is very nice (special thanks to Arlet and Alvaro) with nice dinners and the opportunity to go on a short nature walk. Bit on the expensive side but the service and large rooms make up for it.

Not sure if this place is still in business.... we stopped by (June 2014) and there were no people, no sign of activity, no signs, nothing.

My wife and I enjoyed staying here.It's not the Marriott. It's an unconventional establishment in a wild rustic setting.It is owned and operated by a lovely Taiwanese couple that are dedicated to sustaining nature and providing warm, friendly, personal service.The rooms are large, our bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked fine. The room was quiet and private. They have a seperate TV / Internet room for guests and a large communal dining room.The dinner and breakfast were fabulous. They cater to people with allergies (like my wife). BTW, my wife is VERY ALLERGIC TO MOLD and she DID NOT HAVE ANY ALLERGIC REACTIONS during our stay there.They charged us $40 US for transport to the airport.This beats staying in Belize City especially if you are en route to another part of the country.

Moldy room, no meal choices, no outside sitting areas, expensive to use their taxi service.I would not recommend this place.

The owners of Orchid Garden opened up the first level of their amazing home as a museum. Very interesting artifacts and collections from Belize, including a ton of artwork created 100% by nature.

You will visit this during a grounds tour of Orchid Garden Eco Village. Lots of interesting items to view.

Miss Christine gave an interesting tour of their many collections. The house itself is very beautiful.

Orchid Garden is the best value and provides excellent service.
