Liquid was one of a handful of bars on a solo, get-to-know-your-new-city pub scout. Very easy to find from the street, as it is right above the 7-11; stairs lead up to the right of the building. The environment was modern, with a bar, lounge areas, a set of the new-style e-dartboards, and a pool table. The music was pleasant enough, but there seemed to be no dedicated space for dancing, were the mood to strike people. Prices were reasonable in consideration of the environment, and everyone was very polite, kind, professional, hospitable. It seemed like the kind of place you could request music from the DJ without him getting snobby, and the bartender & waitress were good with the pours & timeliness. Restrooms were unisex stalls, but kept clean. As for the crowd, it was busy without being crowded (late night on a Friday, around midnight), and people were friendly, considering I was the only foreigner in the place and solo.2 small nitpicks: the pool table slate & felt is in good shape, but the pockets kept falling out, dropping the balls onto the floor. A bit annoying that. Also, do NOT order nachos from the snack menu, unless you are expecting to get a bowl of nacho-cheese flavored Doritos (which you could have just as easily bought from the 7-11 downstairs)!Nice enough place, and I'll go back again.
Asoupcan
Liquid is back and it's sporting an excellent mix of foreigner and Taiwanese clientele. Smooth and comfortable furniture, long bar, darts, a pool table, and recurring nightly features. This lounge bar was closed for a considerable amount of time, but now it's back in full force. Attire is chic-hip. Music depends on the DJ, but can range from old school hip-hop, to modern electronic and dub-step. Perched atop a 7-11, this lounge bar is perfectly situated for you to step out for a breath of fresh air (it gets smokey quickly) and grab a reasonably priced Coke, if you need one. The club is open late into the night.
